Ok, fellow Dolfans. I see a lot of threads bashing all of our players. Yea there is a lot of things that look bad at this point, but I did see some positives as well.
-Our D line was getting very good penetration.
-Our LB's were stuffing holes and holding the edge down very well.
-Our secondary held down a very good receiving corps. I know Roddy got loose early but the point is that the pass wasnt completed. We made Atlanta turn into a dink and dunk team as well.
-Our "D" looks like it is going to be very stout.
-Davone Bess had a good opening day, adjusting to Chad as he was flushed.
Come on guys, it's week one. Tony will get in there butts this week, and I think you will see a different team come Monday night for our home opener. DON'T GIVE UP ON THE SEASON YET. GO DOLPHINS!!!!!!!

Your right . The positives I take from this game are:

hmm

I for one and not ready to throw the season away based on just one game. The way I see it we just play our worst game of the season on game one so we can only look for positive things from here on.This team is way much better than last year to think they are gonna play like they did yesterday every sunday.I see a mayor rebound next week against the Colts on a full house.

Gotta watch the rose colored glasses. Lets face it this game was a lot like our preseason. Wehad on offense but our defense shut out the other teams in the preseason. How low scoring were all those games. Nobody really talked about how few points we were scoring in the preseason because we won all those games. But did we ever score more than 20 points. Special teams were bad and the offense never really shined. We are seeing the same thing right now. While we covered better on special teams we could not return at all. Our offense was streaky at best when it was not shut down. Lets face it we could not run the ball last year until the wild cat and we are not that much improved. At least yet. We do have a new offensive line coach but still have issues there with a ton of talent. Special team were are not special and the coordinator there has to get it together or Sporano will have to make a decision sometime this year about him.

We scored 27 on Carolina.......I'm just sayin. but I agree

i agree with a lot of the positives you wrote, but cant list the secondary their. As many 3rd and longs as we gave up, i just cant.

I did like seeing Ginn getting open we just didnt capitalize on those opptys. Stopping Turner was the bright defensive spot and P Merling.

hey we started out 0-1 last season, and y'all know how that turned out...as Journey would say...Don't stop BELIEVIN'!!

Another very important positive.....

no injuries.

Looking around the league and looking at all these injuries in week 1, made me feel a bit fortunate.

Run D was sick and so was Merling... He was the Man of the Game. He look like a stud.

Another positive....this was a non-conference game, so it won't hurt as much as losing to an AFC foe or even worse, an AFCE rival.

Well here's a couple of positives...we don't play Detroit and after all we are only in year two of the current three to five year rebuild.

Our D-Line played really good IMO. That Fasano fumble lost the game... he had a bad night.. anyone can have a really bad game. As forest gump once said... Sh** happens.

Look forward, get your chins up and lets try get indy next week.
