I dont know what happened after all the hub bub. Has anyone heard anything? After watching Gus stink up the joint Im ready to see Couch get a workout at least.....I also think Rohan will be cut soon (he had like 2 attempts last night) so we'll see if Nick really wants him. :D

not that id get rid of Gus for Couch..theres no way we let Gus go...but Sage wouldnt be hard to drop

I don't know the answer to his question but it was a legitimate one. We have had talks with Couch's agent. I think the issue may still be his injury and when he'd realistically be able to help.

As for Rohan, Nick does seem to like the kid.

Calling Wharf Rat "cowardly" might just get Losman banned from ALL the forums.
Not exactly brain surgeon material, is he?

couch tryout

never..hopefully.. either we have are QB on board now or we get one via freeagency/draft next year.. no more second comings or other team rejects or career back-ups. This has been going on now for 4 years...it's enough already

Yeah but it happened in the Smack Forum where anything goes so I think he might be safe, for now.

Couch isn`t the answer at QB. He`s arguably better than what we`ve got now, but coming in this late, not knowing the offense, he`d have to get all the reps to even get halfway up to speed, and I don`t think that would happen. He`s not a long term solution either (at least I don`t want him as our long term QB), I`m hoping we can go after Rivers or Brees in the offseason if we finish out of the Leinart sweepstakes.

You would too if the kid won you a national championship, but no way would the kid develope in NE when you have a young TB playing ahead of you.

It was reported earlier in the week on NFL Access I believe By Adam Schiftler
the Couch was at least three or four weeks away from being really able work out for teams...

So that is what everyone is waiting for. He can work out now but it won't be a true indication of his abilites...

I say go ahead and sign Couch. He has the arm strength, he can learn the playbook for about 6 or t weeks and in december when the Dolphins are STILL in playoff contention he could be ready to help us. Trust me guys, there is no way Miami will finish in the top 5 portion of the draft to get
Matt Leinart. They will improve enough to get probably the 17th pick in the
draft. If You want a young top notch QB, we will either have to trade for one of San Diego's QBs or trade up in the draft to get one next year.

Couch is not and upgrade. He has a marginal arm to begin with and he's coming off shoulder surgery. Funny the Browns could have had Mcnabb or Culpepper. Face it, we are going to ride the season out with Gus (who at least knows the playbook) and AJ. I actually think Jay Fielder is better than either of these guys. They are all back-ups in my opinion.
Anybody know anything about Paul Pinegar/Fresno State Lindy's has him ranked the second best QB prospect after Leinart. 6'3-220
