We've just had a long few days of hurricanes, floods, fires, wind, rain... Couped up in the house watching non-stop pathetic weather updates, playing cards, and picking up Uncle Bud off the floor from drinking too much...

Time for some Dolphins football!

I really hope that if you have season tickets, or not, and can make the game, Come out tonight! Let's start our home season on the right note and support our team! Let's make some noise tonight!

Let's go Dolphins!

Anyone in South Florida- what is the weather like down there right now?

And tonight's forecast?

A little breezy by the beach, and some fast moving clouds that don't look to be packing any rain. My thought is by tonight, it should be pretty nice out. I expect a passing shower at some point, but it will be good.

This Afternoon...Partly sunny with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. Breezy. Highs around 90. Southeast to south winds 15 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.

Tonight...Partly cloudy. Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Lows in the upper 70s. South winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 40 percent.

Hey,

A couple of friends wont be able to make it for the game, got Lower End Zone (West), will trade for some beers and a hot dog....lol.

I'd rather give em to someone on here than sell them for 10 bucks at the stadium...

Drop me a PM if you want 'em...

I'm darn sure ready for some football after two days cleaning up after Katrina. Not close to finished yet.

I was posting here Thursday night during Katrina, from my parents' home near Kendall, and thought we managed with just a power outage. Then I awoke Friday morning to no phone line, complete loss of all the screening around our pool, a downed tree, and a dangling power line with its raw end just a few feet from standing water at the side of our house. The permutations for disaster are incalculable. That power line could just as easily have draped itself over the metal frame where the pool screening used to be and ended up in our pool. It's still out there with no threat of attention from Florida Power and Light. No power restoration with 50 blocks in any direction, at least as of noon today.

Plus my aunt a mile away lost hundreds of roof tile, causing a leaky roof with considerable ceiling and plaster damage, with water ruining her computer desk and possibly a new iMac. We won't know until the power returns. Three of her huge trees uprooted in the same direction, destroying a large fence around her property. Sorry for the lengthy frustrated description but someone here described it as not much more than a big thunderstorm Thursday night.

My dad and I have taken a brief break by driving to a hotel in Pompano for some needed air conditioning and a glimpse at the Fins. Hey team, make it worthwhile.

To quote that manical politician from Vermont...(Howard Dean)
