Wow. PFW really went to town on the Dolphins this week. Here's the third article I found. Kim Bokamper and Earl Morrall have some insights

If you ask Bokamper about the Miami lineup, he’ll point right in the direction of the offensive line. “Saban’s biggest problem,†he says. “They have no mean streak. They break down too easily. You don’t ever see anyone getting pissed off in that group. There’s no emotion. The center [Rex Hadnot] has shown some fire, and they’ll tell you [OT] Vernon Carey is coming along, but the rest of them? They’re just … guys. They’re not great blockers or real goo pass protectors. They’re just guys playing a position.â€Â

i talked about this last year about the attitude of our o-line and team in general.

of course, having a dominate physical o-lineman can rub off on others, but i dont think this problem is limited to the o-line

noone ever steps up when things are going rough. Instead we have players who trip up when things are going well

yeah where is the fire on oline, if only we had of signed turley in the offseaon he would deffinantly helped the spark or rather lack of spark and aggression in our offensive line

Maybe they should do something to signify their unity, like growing beards or giving themselves a group nickname.

Too bad you can't measure mean streaks during combine testing. AS much as Saban believes in performance measures, you can't measure meaness.

Instead of going after steady, productive football players, the kind that consistently made plays on the field, we started drafting flashy ones, guys who’d make an occasional spectacular play, then disappear into the crowd. We thought we could coach them into doing it all the time. We were wrong. We soon found out that ‘flashy’ is a quick way to 6-10

This statement speaks volumes. We have too many flash players on this team.Players like CC,Mc Michael,Booker are not consistent.IMO We need more Welker type players.

Also I agree with Kim.We are paying the price of years of neglect of our OL.

I think at least one and probably two of the guys you mentioned are gone next year. I think Saban is fed up with the inconsistency and he'll deal with it in the offseason

Great article. Anyone think Saban tells the team to "Tone it down, dont get mean out there, dont make the other team angry" I get the feeling that with his touchy , feely psycological crap he tells his players this stuff. When will our o-line get in some other team's faces? Never, until these guys get some confidence.

And the list of things I've been saying for months goes on and on....
