Anyone hear anything on Mare, and his status. I check the sites hourly it seems and can't get any insight. Last I heard he wouldn't restructure so the Fins were going to cut him. I hope something was arranged so we can keep him this guy is money to the organization, even though many think hes not. But try finding a kicker of his caliber once he is gone.
Just wondering if anyone in Miami heard something from the radio or local news, since I am up in New England :fire:
 
Olindo is in Cooper City...I saw him at Publix....he was buying whole wheat bread and some vanilla wafers.....
 
Yeah I was wondering about this, nobody is left out there so I hope we can work something out with him.
 
There was speculation we might sign Vanderjagt but it looks like we are going to keep Mare for now. I guess V was signed by the Cowboys.
 
Saban came out and said that he was sorry that that story leaked out and that he wants to figure out a way to restructure Mare's deal so that he can retire a dolphin. something along those lines.

Wow thats the most insightful response Ive ever read. Thank you for that, your better than Adam Schefter.

Mare is to valuable to lose. No free agent kicker can challenge his value. Its a matter of this years due money rather than keeping him long term. I.E. if we owe him 2 million this year (example only) and we can restructure him to that 2 million spread out over time on a new contract so we dont take the hit now. We are only hearing the media buzz. If we were not going to keep him, he would not waste time for free agency.
 
Is it that hard to put a question mark on the header to your thread? You are asking a question are you not? It's very upsetting to open a thread you believe to contain some news, to get a question that's been asked 50 times in the last week.
 
Just bring Pete Stoyanovich back!

Man I am glad we didn't get him. The last thing we need is a kicker to come in and run his mouth. Any time your kicker questions your quarterback's play, you have a real problem. Especially when you're quarterback is Peyton Manning.
 
Mare is not going anywhere, Saban wants to restructure his contract so he can retire a Dolphin!!!
