yea Mare isnot good at all. He was on a downfall and last year he had a great couple of games at the end one he had 4 FGs i thinkthat really helped his FG %. We dont need to draft a kicker, get a Donnie Jones type of guy who is avaliable. There are alot of guys with great legs (haha u kno what i mean) that are FAs.
 
He's made 15 of 24 FG attempts. He's missed 9 FG's this year and that is most in the NFL. Not good at all. And we've lost close games all year too. Hmmm.
 
We'd be better off with Mia Hamm kicking for us!!!!!!:sidelol:

I say cut his pay in half and make him the kickoff guy. Did you see his boot through the uprights on the kickoff?!

yeah, the commentators mentioned that he led the league in touchbacks.

what a stinker. he's the best at that yet struggling in the field goals department.

if he can only get his act together for the next 7 games...we wouldn't have to worry about yet another need to fill this offseason.
 
This guy had contract issues in the offseason, and then stinks all year and is missing ALL the critical FG's.
What is Saban thinking when we have 4th and 2 around the 30 yard line!
Mare ALWAYS misses this type of kick. He misses and the result is the same as 4th down sack. May as well run it or throw it instead of giving the opponents the ball at the spot of the kick!!!
 
It's a shame. You used to know that you had three points coming when Mare walked out on the field but now my wife and I find ourselves biting our nails, crossing our fingers, praying, and closing our eyes when he lines up to kick. Time to take a serious look at a kicker in next year's draft.

I wonder if Kathy Ireland can still kick like she did in "Necessary Roughness."
 
the miss against the Jets still hurts...if we dont make the playoffs, a lot of people will look back at that

If he makes that kick @ NYJ, there is no doubt in my mind that we would've won in OT. We were rolling in that 4th quarter but when Olindo came on the field, I knew we were in trouble. I wonder what we will do if we get into overtime and get to the opposition's 30 yard line. Kick, or try to score?
