Oline remains a serious flaw to successful season

The older I get the less stock I put into the preseason. Yeah it would be great if they dropped 50 on the Raiders but even then it’d be irrelevant. Give me Hill and Waddle playing, give me Armstead, give me Howard, and give me an actual game plan.

If they still stink then? So be it.

Someone should tell Dave to go read up on how football works... And how playcalls in pre-season differ from regular season... And how a Hill and Waddle being on the field might change the way opposing Ds play the Fins... All these ****ers know about reporting is that negativity = clicks... Why try and do a good job when your lazy ass can get buy stirring **** up day in day out...

No **** right. But those ****res know exactly how to feed into the instant gratification society we are living in. And your absolutely spot on with everything you said.

Our first string Oline, four starters, getting their shiz pushed around by other teams’ second and third stringers is ok. Got it. Check. Point noted. 🧐

Pretty sure Tua wasn’t pressured once on his 8 passes.

Edit: one pressure.

Right. I'm more concerned with players not getting injured. I think preseason games are for those bubble guys mainly. Players who need to prove themselves and are fighting to make the team.

Now, I do have concerns about the offensive line but I think once McDaniel and his staff start game-planning we can really evaluate where it's at.

You still would like to see demonstrable progress from the OL.

Hard to say that has happened yet, although i am cautiously optimistic about Jackson at RT.

We will see how much having Armstead in at LT solidifies the unit. Surely he will help Eich(or whoever it is) at LG which should allow Williams or Dieter to settle in a bit at C.

Our run blocking wasn’t bad last year. Pass protection was the problem.

I doubt our OL will be worse as run blockers this year than they were last year, so that’s not really a major concern of mine. Much more concerned about whether we’ll be able to pass block and whether our defense will be able to stop good quarterbacks.

preseason rarely translates to regular season success/failure for most teams.. Lions went undefeated in preseason the year they went 0-16. Patriots looked meh in a couple of their preseason games the year they went 18-1 :p

Preseason is really for guys like ST to excite the fans and then fade to oblivion
