Lets not forget about how horrible they played. Everybody is blaming Gus, but nobody realized that they committed penelties, failed at pass blocking and didn't create any holes for our backs. I would like to see Carey put back in and I would offer a 4th for Fonoti. We might need 3 or more new starting lineman next year, so why not start now.
 
dude...gus is just as at fault as the o line is. the whole world knows our tackles suck. so why, then, does gus drop back and act like he's still playing behind the vikings line of the last couple of years that gave minny qbs all day to throw? 5 steps, set, get rid of the ball. not 5 steps. pat pump pat pat FUMBLE RETURN FOR TD.
 
What I'm wondering is, why not more screen passes to our gifted running backs with blockers out in front? If we can't sustain a pocket to pass out of, why try to have one so often? I just watched PATRICK PASS of all people run all over the field on plays like that.

I will admit Gus is not great....but cmon man, this oline is complete garbage. No one can be successful behind an oline that can't block worth a lick.
 
I agree, our O-line is either losing us yards by commiting stupid penaltiees or missing blocks so that Gus has to peel himself off the floor. People complain about Gus not being accurate on long balls, well maybe if he wasn't getting hit during half his throws he would place his passes a little better.
 
hers my view on the dolphins

saban- its still early but some other guys could of done a much better job at coaching.
ronnie/gus/rickie- cant carry the team, gus is playing great for his level, ronnie is too young and ricky's gone next year.
chambers/recievers- overrated.
oline- sucks.
dline- can be alot better, id like to see a 3 line with saban instead of the 4.
backfield, too old/ and at the same time too young but, so far there doing alright.
linebackers- thomas seems to be in on every play and is fine but can crowders take his place?
QB- Just not good enough, We cant keep on getting washed up qbs to fill in. Gus is no tom brady.
 
Gus is not at fault for the lose. people just want to blame the QB always. It was the oline they cause 6 penalties (three by McDougle himself)
 
Our O-line had a very rough day against a very good D-line today, but Gus did have his chances to hit big plays and he overthrew every one of them.

yea I didnt expect gus to do as well as hes doing, But if they want ronnie to be their franchise star they should get him the ball more.

I think it might have to do with the fact that everytime we run a screen or something to the outside someone gets called for holding.

I can't believe after 5 games Saban is being called out already. Coaches need time to develop the talent and get players to buy into schemes. It just doesn't happen overnight.

Just curious, who did you want to coach this team prior to Saban being hired.....or if you wanted Saban, who do you think would be doing a better job then he is presently with this same team??

First game I actually saw this year. I didn't see Carey play, but he can't be worse than McIntosh, can he?
 
Screen passes....successful ones..i might add...will slow down a pass rush....just let those quick ends get around...and then dump it off....only thing though...they still must block...without holding....false start....illegal shift....personal foul...illegal use of hands to the face...chop block....tripping....etc.
