Tag him. Don't let a mid 20's pass rusher leave esp one you drafted and developed.

I agree. Franchise tag and see if you can work out a contract. Can't give up good young pass rusher.

Good for him but how many sacks did he get? And of those pressures how passes were completed?

I remember OV as a Freshman at The U....Tore it up the 2nd half of the season, then disappeared the rest of his career at U...He has played well for us and I wish him the best of luck in his career unless he gives us the "home double discount".

1other question is what's the DE tag at?

I think he's the most challenging FA situation we'll have this offseason. Miller should be easy and affordable, Rishard is gone IMO, but Vernon may need the franchise tag if we can't work out a deal....can't let him walk if you can at all avoid it.

What I find a little interesting, per what Jackson reported, the FO hasn't reached out at all to anyone about a contract, not even someone like a Shelby....

I am not surprised by that. They have plenty of time to work up to a deal...a deal he will not take and that is why he will be tagged.

I also think that something to do with an imminent regime change. They'll have a lot of time to figure out the contracts.

I hope that is because Ross told them do not conduct any business beyond this year, because all front office and coaches may be UNEMPLOYED.
