Daunte Culpepper, who refused comment Sunday, stood secluded in street clothes with a swollen patella tendon in his right knee as Miami fell to 1-6. Adding to the unexpected questions surrounding a position once considered to be the team's deepest spot, the Dolphins worked out former Bowling Green quarterback Omar Jacobs on Friday.

I'm a Daunte fan, and I don't expect him to be back this season. Season is lost, and he would be better off getting healthy and back to 100% by next season. I wouldn't mind giving Lemon a shot, but I think Jacobs would be great. He has speed (right?) and an arm. He played great in college and for one reason or another he's a FA. I wouldn't mind seeing him get signed and get some starts. Maybe he can show us something this year, and serve as a backup. I'm not crazy about Lemon, while I will root for him if he plays, I don't think he will fair much better than Harrington.
