Omar Kelly circa April: Carey will never be a guard

Omar is fan first reporter second, and this board proves how arrogant fans can be

Sorry, but his job dictates he be a reporter first and a fan second. Frankly, the guy is a smug knob far too often for his own good.
 
But atleast Omar knows one thing that some on here fail to acknowledge...

In Omar's own words the Dolphins are "his assignment". Perhaps he is tired of dealing with his assignment but it serves as no excuse to treat the fans that follow him as badly as he does. If you don't address him in a manner that he feels as deserving of his attention, he can be pretty nasty in his responses. His job involves being a liasion between the Dolphins and their fans but his lack of maturity and cynicism make him no better then those fans that berate him and his opinion.

Bottom line is that he doesn't comprehend what being a professional means and at some point I hope the editors of the Sun Sentinel sit him down and either reel him in or send him packing.

The Dolphins are Omar's assignment as a journalist? I always thought he was the personal publicist for Brandon Marshall and Kory Sheets...
 
Do any fans on this board like ANYTHING about the Dolphins and thier immediate "circle" or is it just a hobby and something to B**** about???

The negativity lately is sad ;-( A reporter got something wrong? Never before and never again right?
 
In general ... Tackles need to be bulldozers, and Guards need to be athletic blockers. Don't think Vernon is that nimble.

I suppose if we run between the tackles, we can try to bulldoze them ... and crowd up the line for passing. Not sure how that would work out.
 
The guy is an expert on line play...just like Sparano...wait check that...

Getting something wrong is not a problem. We're all wrong at times, and Omar certainly had reason to think Carey would stay at tackle based on Sparano's comments. (Though obviously, you should never believe everything these guys say.)

But the issue is not that Omar was wrong--the issue is he was SO confident he was right, he talked down to his readers and basically told them to shut the hell up and learn something about football because they were suggesting something so ridiculous.
