This is what he had to say about Satele.

"Dolphins beat writer Omar Kelly believes Samson Satele's future is at guard, not center.

The undersized Satele was reportedly overpowered by bigger nose tackles but could flourish at guard because of his quick feet. He did get some time in at right guard late in the season with Al Johnson taking over at center."

I think Satele is doing a great job at center for the fins. I have never liked Omar Kelly anyway. But know I hate him even more.

I actually though that this one was kind of true... And that the Fins were exploring different options with Satele

Satele has no future as our center...I expect we draft either Mack or Wood. Kelly is right....

The only question I have is whether he can even be a guard. He terrible in space even though he pulls well...he tends to not actually block anyone when he does....

This is no surprise to me because it has been rumored since the end of the season if Samson would be better in the guard spot.. So far it has been reported that Samson played with a torn labrum and that the team wants him to bulk up to 300-305 pounds..
Imo Satele will be a starter on the O-Line in '09 if it is a center or at guard.. But somehow I have a "feeling" that we will not draft an offensive lineman high or sign one pricey free agent if we can re-sign Carey..

Satele had a torn labrum, and didn't miss a game, let him recover, hit the weight room, put on 15 pounds and then we can see what we have.

hes right and i dunno what your talking about. he didnt play very well this year. he gets owned by the d-tackles in our division.

And why didn't you like omar? Is it because of the great senior bowl writeups he did? Only he and ethan skolnick are any good at all.
If you want a joke check out armando, that guys stinks up the page anytime he writes.

I think Satele is too small to be C at this level. He was shoved around way too easily by big 3-4 NT's.

Well you just insulted about 80% of the fin fans here because what Omar is talking about has pretty much become the majority's opinion of things.

How in the world can you possibly say something like that?!!! It is mind-boggling!

Satele is awful. I agree with Omar as well. I am so sick of watching Satele get fork-lifted and deposited into Chad Penny's lap. It was way too repetitive and redundant.

Satele would make a decent back-up, I guess, but nothing more than that.

BTW that was Harvey Fialkov not Omar. Make sure u blame the right guy next time.

Omar IS a joke, - a glorified fan blogger but in this case unfortunately it's got nothing to do with his assessment of Satele.

A number of scouts and draft experts said the same thing about Satele coming out of Hawaii, that his ultimate future would be at guard. His biggest asset is his quickness. At G, he can use that quickness to get into his blocks sooner, helping him overcome his lack of size.
