I've never seen a bigger bunch of winers and haters in my life!
The Miami Dolphins won their opening game on the road in NFL season.
No it wasn't perfect, but few games are.
Even the 17-0 Perfect Dolphins won some ugly games.
Ask the Seattle, Indy, Steeler and some other Super Bowl contending teams fans if they would
take an ugly Win over a loss in week one.
So after seeing one game and that being a win, some of you are saying we will wind up last in the AFC east.
So if we win impressively next week at Jax, we are going to the Super Bowl.
its one game people.
Get a grip!!

well said. and yeah it does get a little crazy on here after games. people losing their minds all the time haha.

as far as the Skins game went, sure it was sloppy and took us forever to get going but I will take the win on the road. gonna have to do better next week.

Agree. Ross said it right a win is a win. After 1-15 I'll take any win any way it comes

I think it's the letdown of coming into the season with such high expectations, and then coming out flat against what many consider to be an inferior opponent. A win is a win, but let's face it, that effort wouldn't beat the Bills or the Pats; that's what everyone is complaining about I think.

Hey it was a must win and they got it.....no complaints here, yes they need work but what team doesn't after week 1....another must win next week against Jags.......

Fact of the matter is we showed grit in a close game and closed it out, that'll go along way later in the season...something this team hasn't done well recently

If a lowly Redskins team can run all over us like that and we generate little pass rush against them it doesn't bode well when we play the New Englands of the league.

I really have to think that it's either they didn't get the fantasy points they needed or they just don't get how tough it is to win on the road on opening day.

We won ugly on the road. We're 1-0 and we played NO WHERE NEAR our capabilities. Our vaunted front 4 did very little. Just think how we'll look when they DO play well. Our offense stumbled out of the gate. Just think what it will be like when we jump out fast. Our special teams won a game for us. How often have we been able to say that? If our special teams continues to impact games, coupled with our overall abilities as a team, we will be tough as hell. One game, win or loss, does not a season make. But I'll definitely take the win. We are currently tied for first place in the AFC East.

I have to add that we did play a team who was fired up and had a good game plan coming out. Winning on the road against an fired up team in the season opener is nothing to complain about.

Seriously I get it though. People who complain about how games are won usually havent played sports. Competitors know that things dont always work perfectly and you take wins when you get them. I'd take 11 ugly wins over 7 pretty ones.

This^^ I'm not gonna lie I expected better. I wanted a statement win but on the road opening day I'll take it. They showed balls

You are basing you evaluation of the Redskins on what....last season?? You do realize that teams who suck the year before do not necessarily have to suck the following season right? The Redskins have a pretty decent roster and Alfred Morris is a probowl runningback.

I feel like these threads happen every year. Yeah the overreaction threads are bad but these threads calling people out for being concerned that Week 1's performance may not be good enough to beat better teams are annoying as well.

Concur. Its better to finish strong (halves, games, season) than it is to start fast and then fade away.

edit - How many times have the phins got off to a mediocre start, went on a tear about mid season, only to run out of gas in Dec? Hopefully, this yr is different and the resilience shown today is just the tip of the iceberg.
