it just said that arrington and the packers arent agreeing on a deal and probably wont!!!!! man this guy is ridiculous and thinks hes god with all the money he is wanting.this is for all the guys that want arrington like my self

Well that's good news then. The Fins and him should reach an agreement rather soon I'm guessing. The Fins' pick will more then likely become a WR(Holmes) or a CB(Cromartie)

I think he was wanting to see if this was the team that would break the bank for him and they weren't. I think all things being even, he takes the best $$ contract with the Jags or the best fit in a system with us.. I say that thinking if no one is breaking the bank by now, no one will.

Oh man, that is great news. Most people are bitter about LaVar playing the field. You shouldn't be bitter this is just how it works. He is trying to get the most money possible and go to the best situation.

His huge knock is not fulfilling his assignments and being more of a roamer. Also I think Wash gave him a bad rap for not being coachable. But I think Saban could easily whip him into shape. I simply can't imagine anyone in Saban's system not fulfilling their assingment.

Also remember that LaVars greatest asset is when he is rushing the QB. Just like at Penn St. he became famous because of that. If we sign Arrington we are for sure going to a 3-4 scheme with Taylor and Arrington as edge rushers. Now that is a scary thought.

I also like the possibility of addressing anything through the draft. It really opens up some doors.

I think Arrington is trying to save face because he gave up the $4+ mill thinking he'll get a major pay day.

But it's not happening.

He better take a deal with somebody before the draft or else the teams who may be in the mix might address that need in the draft and he'll be even more arsed out.

He'll probably be a steal to wherever he goes now. Getting a top notch LB for average money. Hopefully he's here.

This is a big part of the reason I want Lavar. That means we can take BPA in practically every round without worrying about major holes in the roster.

Well he said on cold pizza yesterday that the 4.4 million didn't come out of his bank but a bouns down the road he was supposed to get...So it's not like he gave anything back..but yeah,HE thought he was gonna get a HUGE contract...thought wrong *****!...He needs to sign already..us or the jags or someone...I just wanna wake up one day and finally see him signed...hopefully with us,if not oh well bring on manny!!!

I really hope we arnt breaking the bank...

If the only way we can land him is by giving the guy a boat load of money... I would rather fill our hole at OLB in the draft with either Greenway or Lawson...

Actually, the Dolphins have the best deal on the table.

you are right on the money

IMO if LaVar isn't signed with the Dolphins before the draft then we will not be signed by the dolphins at all. The reason being is that if he doesn't sign before the draft then Saban has to address the LB position in the draft because he doesn't know either way if LaVar will sign or not so he must have some type of plan ready if he decides not to.

The guy just wants to go as many places he can to get his ego massaged. It's like he wants every team to tell him how good he is before he signs somewhere.

I'm starting to think maybe with his knee and all he is trying for big money up front so if the knee goes then he is covered. Kinda reminds me of Brees in some ways --> "I prefer Miami but i want to see how much money I can get before I sign anywhere" (I can't blame the guy for trying)

Agreed. There may also be other teams that didn't get a chance to draft a Lb who might have some interest. He can always wait until the pre season where we could see some injuries at the Lb spot throughout the league. That is if he really wants as much money as he can get
