Alright guys. I was just watchin ESPN NFL Live. One of em just said Ronnie Brown is the best RB to come out of college in a decade. I couldnt believe it. Then they said that he was a bigger version of Ladanian Tomlinson. If that is even close to true i would take him in a heartbeat and LOVE it.

Do you guys agree with that analysis?

They also just said that Ernest Shazor has probably dropped to day 2 of the draft. If he does i would nab him up right when our 4th rounder rolled around and be very happy.

Other than the fact he can catch very well he has no similarity to Ladanian Tomlinson. He's Deuce McAllister with better blocking and maybe better hands.

That gets me almost as excited. Deuce is a gamer, last year's baffling Saints team as a whole excluded.

I am getting really excited for Saturday. On the Shazor thing i bet he doesnt get past the 3rd round. Some teams see him as a OLB and with the major lack of LB depth in this draft I would be suprised to see him slide any further.

Dude, i am loving your mock draft. Overall its good. But I LOVE that you have us taking Isaac West, the WR out of Furman in the 7th round. I have been throwing his name all over the place to get peoples opinion of him and havent gotten a single response and just to have someone else who has heard of him and let alone wants him is awesome. Thanks bro

He reminds me of JJ Johsnon back in 99'

You dont ever say that.

All along I have been saying I cant see why this guy gets compared to anyone other than Deuce.

Some of the critics say he reminds them of Eddie George. He is faster and has better hands.

There are all sorts of weird comparisons like Marshall Faulk, Priest Holmes, so on and so on. Deuce has hands, great straight ahead speed, big size, runs through people, lacks elusiveness and has stiff hips. Great feel for the passing game and a hard runner. Basically this is Ronnie Browns description. I cant see how they would differ at all. Deuce is 6'1" 220. Ran a 4.48. Brown is 6'0" 233 ran a 4.49. The only difference I can see is that Ronnie Brown like the previous poster said may block a bit better, may have a bit better hands. May even have a bit more power. Brown was also more productive in college.

One other thing I should point out back in the 2001 draft Deuce got a grade of 9.00 out of 10. LaDanian got a 9.06. Is there anyone out there that can explain why Deuce was picked so much lower?

He will be a good slot reciever but I doubt he lasts til the 7th even though we pick early. Could be a small school diamond. :D

The problem is they use a different grade system now. Back then it was 1-10 and 9-10 was basically defined as a franchise player. Now they use a 1-6 scale. 5-6 is considered hall of fame and multiply pro bowls throughout their career. These are very rare. As an example Eli Manning got a 5.06 last year and Big Ben got a 4.99.

4.63 - Ronnie Brown
4.59 - Cedric Benson
4.44 - Cadillac Williams

4.64 - Braylon Edwards
4.43 - Aaron Rodgers
4.41 - Alex Smith

Hey, where'd you get this info........ I'd like to see a lot of other guys grades

My real question about Brown being compared to Eddie George is that I wanna know if he runs upright like George. If he does, I dont want him because he wont last more then 4-5 years.

Honestly, it doesn't matter how he runs -- we can't count on any RB lasting more than that. It's just the nature of the position. We can hope our next back is a Curtis Martin type with great health and production, but those guys are rarities...
