On this day five years ago..

Jay Fiedler is already throwing after off-season shoulder surgery, and most people could care less. It appears the general population wants to see Ray Lucas start ahead of Mr. Fiedler, and while I like Ray, I don't see the "wisdom" in giving him the starting nod at this early point in the season.

LOL.. The author of that article is a soothsayer..

Just signed Todd Perry and people are rallying for Ray Lucas to start over Fiedler. :dday:

EDIT: Okay, so that's actually tomorrow.....but who cares?

I remember when everyone wanted Ray to start because of a few preseason games. I told them be careful what you wish for. Then Jay got hurt and the first game back home everyone was so pumped up in the stands. I told them he better not F- up. Well needless to say 2 games later everone was crying to have Jay back.

SPORTS PEOPLE; 3 Dolphins Fined

Coach Don Shula of the Miami Dolphins fined three rookie linemen - Steve Moorman , Mike Charles and Charles Benson - $500 each for what the team described as ''drug involvement'' on a day off early in this summer's training camp. Shula would not give details, but both Charles and Benson described the incident as a one-time use of marijuana.

The only bittersweet thing I could pull out of the 2002 disaster is that it REALLY shut up the talking Lucas heads up for good. Literally, I think they all moved to Abu Dhabi.

It isn't too late to vote in the poll is it?

But what a difference 5 years make... Fielder & Lucas vs. Culpepper &, well, Culpepper by himself is better than both of them put together.

500,000,000,000,000 Fiedlers + 500,000,000,000,000 Lucases would not = 1 Daunte Culpepper.

It just proves that when it comes to QB's, most fans have no clue amd will take anything over the status quo if they're not playing well. I remember all of the Rohan Davey threads last offseason. Yeah, great idea, lets sign a guy who can't make the Arizona Cardinals, not to mention, a guy who Bill Belechick thought so little of, he cut him in favor of a QB who never played a game in College.

Bingo

I would'nt be suprised to see Culpepper struggle and everyone complaining and say we should have spent the extra money on Brees. By the way, Mr.Reality I like what your bottom statement on the pats. I also believe its vice versa for the dolphins because I have a few friends that are pat fans and when ever there is a flag most us dolphin fans get mad before they even know what happend but the tottal opposite for the pats.
