The last time Miami played at San Diego, linebacker Kevin Burnett earned himself a permanent spot in Dolphins history – while playing for the Chargers. It’s a piece of history that neither Burnett nor his new Miami teammates have mentioned once to each other this week as they prepare to play at San Diego this Sunday.“I don’t like talking about plays when somebody gets injured,” Burnett said Thursday. Burnett, now a Dolphin after two seasons in San Diego, is partly responsible for Chad Pennington being in the TV booth this season and not on the Dolphins’ sideline. If not for Burnett, the Dolphins’ quarterback for Sunday’s game could still be Pennington, and not Chad Henne. That was Burnett wearing No. 99 for the Chargers almost exactly two years ago – Sept, 27, 2009 – running into the backfield untouched on a delayed blitz early in the third quarter. Burnett grabbed Pennington by the waist and dragged him to the ground, a completely clean hit. http://blogs.palmbeachpost.com/thed...pennington-chad-henne-and-the-miami-dolphins/
