I know this has been mentioned on here many times within the last 36 hours or so, so i dont wan't to beat a dead horse anymore than i have to. But i cannot stress enough how ridiculous it is that this team has not addressed the issue of defensive back weakness on this team. I mean we're talking 4 years of awful DB's now. We're talking since Reggie Howard was here, we're talking since Madison and Surtain left and i lobbied for the Phins to take Jimmy Williams from VT in the draft (shows how much i know).

What will it take for ANYONE in this front office that Andre Goodman and Reynaldo Hill don't belong on this roster. That Will Allen is not a number one corner but a solid tackler who'd be a great number two. That this team hasn't had a play making corner who shuts down the field and is a threat to make plays in about five years now and should look into getting one somehow, especially in the draft.

And i'm no scout either, but i could have told you Chris Crocker sucks without wasting a regular season game starting him. I'd rather take my chances on the potentially better than awful Jason Allen rather than endlessly awful Chris Crocker.

Stop insulting our intelligence and go get a damn DB.....How the Dolphins did not draft a DB this year i simply do not understand. I guess an army of RB's that we'll never use were more of a team need

I agree that our secondary is our biggest need right now. I think in our next off season we will be targeting them. They could not rebuild every postion in one draft.

But they didn't even address it, and they haven't for several years now, and i'm tired of it.

Jason Allen - 1st round pick in 2006

Travis Daniels - 4th round pick in 2005

Yeremiah Bell - 6th round pick in 2003

We've blown several picks trying to address the secondary: Jamar Fletcher (1st round), Will Poole (4th round), Ben Kelly (3rd round), etc....

We've sucked at drafting DB's (along with everything else) since Jimmy left....

But we have to nail a pick or two in the secondary in the 2009 draft...

Dont worry bro... We are rebuilding, this year was obviously dedictaed to rebuilding the OLine and DLine, next year, hopefully, we will rebuild our secondary and wide recievers.

Like Sparano said in his PC, "

Rome wasnt built in a day, it takes time to turn this thing around, and we WILL get it turned around."

I love this quote

It's 2008 now.....I'm not ready to give up on Allen either, but we're talking three seasons that this team is going to go now with the defensive back being a glaring weakness. That's just the front office not doing their job.

according to many on here, Will Allen is a #1 corner, and I also heard that this secondary is alot better than many give them credit for. if people truly believe that, so be it. i think some are just trying to convince themselves. this team is bad. its not as bad as last year, but its bad. people need to come to terms with that.

No! This team is good, all we have to do is cut Chad Pennington and Ted Ginn, and fire Tony Sparano after one game and we'll be back on track for the playoffs

True. There are only so many rounds, so many FAs. We all pretty much knew we would be heading into this season with half a team because the rebuilding project was more than one year's worth of work, but we hoped for the best.

If Wilford gets it together the WRs won't be as bad as Sunday. If they figure out where Jason Allen fits & if Lehan gets healthy we'll be better there, too. Not good enough, but better.

So... how many positions did you expect us to fix in the offseason. why don't we just get rid of all 53 players so spacemountain can feel good about something.

You know.. you can buy lego and build rome in a day if you like!

Bell, Hill are fine. Lehan needs to be healthy. Remember we were ranked #4 against the pass last year. #4.. not #24..

....What are you talking about.

As i have stated already, the Dolphins poor secondary isn't exactly a "new" problem. This goes back to the departure of Patrick Surtain and Sammy Knight. When Reggie Howard was on the team, when Sam Madison was here but greatly diminished in skill. Releasing Lance Schulters.

Very deceiving...

We ranked 4th against the pass because teams were ramming it down our throat on the ground to the tune of a buck fitty-five a game...(dead last in the league)

The secondary never stopped anyone from scoring through the air when they WANTED to.
