Lions Suspended C.J. Mosley For Smoking Weed In London Hotel Room
C.J. Mosley isn’t the brightest guy on the Lions roster. ESPN’s Chris Mortensen is reporting that Mosley was suspended and sent home from the teams London trip after he was caught with marijuana in his hotel room.

Mosley disabled the smoke detector in the process.

Disabling the smoke detector in America might be a federal offense...I know it's illegal in the U.S. Don't know about the U.K.

I like our chances against the Lions...

Caldwell is a bottom tier HC, Stafford is prone to a stinker game from time to time and Nick Fairley is out. If Tannehill and the offense can put up a performance in the vicinity of what happened today, they will likely win.

Nick Fairley is out...that helps.

I wouldn't say he's NOT the brightest guy… Sounds pretty lit up to me:chuckle:

All 3 TEs are due back as well. That is an offense loaded with weapons.

The game will be highly entertaining....Reggie's going to try to play his ass off.

Will Wake ever get a holding call?

I don't know if Reggie is necessarily any more motivated to play us...I mean he owes us everything. We were the first and only team that has ever given him a lead back, true RB role...and I think he'll always have a lot of gratitude for that.

If there is anybody hes upset with it would be the Saints. I think hes probably happy MIA cut him so he can play in that offense and on a team with a better shot than us.

...

On Tuesday, Caldwell would not clarify whether Mosley's two-week suspension meant two games or two weeks -- essentially whether or not he would be available for Week 10 against Miami.

"I think the statement stands on its own," Caldwell said. "If you take a look at it, read through it and kind of glean from it what you'd like. But we said two weeks and in two weeks, he'll return."

Mosley was suspended and sent home from London the day before the Lions faced the Falcons in Week 8, so if two weeks is taken to the letter, Mosley would be eligible to return the day before Detroit's game against Miami.

With Nick Fairley out indefinitely, Mosley would likely slide into the starting defensive tackle spot opposite Ndamukong Suh whenever he returns.
