I think with Traylor, Carter, Holliday, Crowder our front 7 is even better than when Tim Bowens was in his prime, and Zach and the boys were younger. Only thing that scares me a little bit is the depth, but as far as Starting front 7 do you think this ranks among the top?

I agree but, I think Pope, Moore, Spragen, and Glenn give us some every nice depth. Any of those guys can come in and play with little noticeable drop-off.

whoa whoa i say slow down buddy... we played one game and they played well... lets see how they hold up all season, greatness is defined by consistency

True, but I was talking more about the D-line. It'd sure be nice to still have Bowens and Chester to go along with Trailer and Co.

Agreed. The Denver game gave Dolfans something to cheer about but lets keep things in perspective. This is a long season and requires excellence over a long period of time. I hate all the predictions about playoffs and records....lets just focus on beating the next team on the schedule week after week. What keeps me sane is the knowledge that Saban isn't looking ahead of our next opponent, he will keep this team grounded....so let's not talk about how good we are gonna be, let's just be rabid fans and do what we can on Sunday's to help our boys achieve their goals. One game at a time!:D

yeah, that would be nice....but Zgonina, D-Bow, and even Manny Wright for a play or two, are pretty decent players.....I don't want to see any of them starting for more than a game, if that, but again, the drop off isn't a 50 foot cliff. :D

I honestly think you will see a difference this year with the saban era beginning. That was one of Pornstaches weaknesses, getting players to play well over a long period of time, and is showed every December. Every year in his era, we fell off the charts in December, usually losing 3 or 4 games in a row. Saban will not let that happen, his discipline and style will keep players fresh and competitive all season long.

The linebackers are the best since the 1970s, but the front four ... with Trace, JT, Bowens and Gardener... in this scheme.... damn, they would have killed.
