The picks kept going and Brady Quinn sat there, waiting. Dolphins fans at Mike's Sportz Bar in East Hanover celebrate as each pick goes by. Finally, the Falcons pick -- JAMAAL ANDERSON!

THE FANS JUMP IN THE AIR! Brady Quinn is ceremoniously written onto the draft board. Miami Mike blasts the Notre Dame fight song. The ESPN and NFL network continuously show Brady Quinn versus (NAVY!) highlights. Finally, Commissioner Goddell makes his way to the podium.

"Quinn's not on the phone. They didn't take him," Slappy and I begin to suggest.

WITH THE NINTH PICK IN THE NFL DRAFT...

The crowd rises to their feet as the Miami Dolphins fight song plays.

THE MIAMI DOLPHINS SELECT...

They can barely hold it in. Only seconds until the Dolphins take a quarterback in the first round since Dan Marino.

TED GINN JR.!!!

:sidelol:
:bighug:
At this moment, I LOVE MEESA ME!

Slappy and I jump up and down as if we just won the lottery. I think one guy started to cry. It was a beautiful moment in human agony.

Before I send this post and get killed as I openly admit to trafficking in human misery, allow me to say this. Those Brady Quinn highlights were great to watch. Next time, notice that those are against...NAVY, MICHIGAN STATE, and ARMY. Remember how great he did against USC...err LSU...err UCLA.

This moment goes down in my life history with the 96 Yankees, the 92 Penguins and beating Super Mario Bros for the first time.

Just so you know that makes you come off as a complete *******. So you're one of these "true dolphins fans" I keep hearing about.

 I think what makes it funny is everyone thought we had Quinn then BAM

I scared my friend when I started cheering our pick  My head was down basically knowing what the pick was going to be and then shot up off my chair like a bat out of hell.

i'll never forget this day.... hopefully it weeds out the weaker dolphin fans that have been holdin the team back. I'm lovin this.

in your eyes....... i think everyone who's all flustered and whining now deserves to be laughed at..... they look like the #!$#$!$#

and even funnier is thinking one of us from NJ who doesnt want quinn would have to be a jet fan..... all of a sudden not being interested in Quinn means your not a phins fan ?? This lovefest surely will die down but i can't wait.:cooldude:

Hey Steve. Where's the pic you took of the board with your cell camera? Great to see you and Slappy and everyone else at the party.

lol, so much politics in sports its not even funny. People act like because we didn't draft Quinn that the Dolphins can't draft . . . MIami had an agenda and they stook by it. I know they wanted to trade down in the first round . . . they couldn't because AP already was drafted (Cam mentioned it could get interesting if Peterson was at 9) and Green Bay didn't wanna move up for Lynch. They took the guy that this organization have been salivating over for years. Quinn was overrated by many on this site, and tho I probably would have selected him . . . this is a clear indication that we wanna win now, and we drafted a guy that changes field position and increases speed dramatically.

lol

i was talking to my bro on the phone

waiting for the pick

and he told me

"imagine if they pick someone else" right before we drafted Ginn

i will never forget this draft

This was actually quite funny to read. That's what those fans get for being PAWNS. Far too many Dolphin fans were made fools of yesterday for believing sports analysts. Stop listening to ESPN and start listening to the Miami Dolphins.

They sure got me!!!

Exactly.. We did it right for a change..

This is just my opinion..

So far we've stocked the offensive side of the ball. I hope we continue this relentless assault on this offensive side which has been horrible and unreliable since Danny boy retired. I'm glad we got Ginn, he alone will get Chambers to play up to par because they grew up together. They'll work out and compete at a higher level just based on each others presence. Chambers lobbied hard for his boy to come play with him.
As well as the intangables Ginn will bring along with him. He's gonna play that Reggie Bush role with us. I like getting a straight slinger in Beck, he's gonna know where to go with the ball, and get it there. I really hope against hope that this is a sign that C Pep is getting healthier, and more moble. Think of the possiblilties if Culpepper is moble again. Think about that with who we got today, before day 2 of the draft. I think we need to address TE after losing McMichael, but that can be done on day two. I think we need to get younger on the Defensive line, and if Jason Allen is moving back to CB, we need to address another young Safety.
We had the #4 ranked defense, we've added Joey Porter to that. We may not be making the hyped up, media circus moves, but we are improving greatly, getting quality AND quantity, and will be in position to get better by trading some of the excess, and or by simply standing pat. Great job Randy and Cam. Slow and steady wins the race. Sit down and enjoy it!!! We've just gotten alot better.
