One play away from a winning record

As I said in a previous thread, I blame the undertaker. If he hadn’t retired they would never have made that call.

There’s so many things we could point fingers at. The interference call on fuller in the same game for example. Plus I think every team makes at least one bone headed call a season which without hindsight appeared a good call at the time.

I really have no idea why anyone dwells on what has already happened. The fact is the Dolphins could very easily have lost the Patriots game if not for the fact their RB fumbled inside the Dolphins 5 yard line
with less than a minute to go.

So Miami won a game they probably should have lost and they lost a game they should of won. It all evens out in the long run.

It doesn't take hindsight to know a bubble screen inside your own endzone is stupid, and nobody would ever think that appeared to be a good call.

Are we sure that’s where the throw was designed to go as opposed to the Qb deciding to go there?
It appeared that was the only direction Tua looked to pass the ball and it appeared to be a designed play which obviously didn’t work. So my guess is that was the call from the OC.

This is true.

For me it shows the truth of how football is a game of inches.

Pretty much everything went against the Dolphins the first 10 games or so.

We were the laughing stock.

However, if 2 things, only 2 things go our way we are battling for the #1 seed.

The missed PI call I'm the endzone in OT against the Raiders

If we either punt on 4th and 1 and let Tua decide on 4th and 1 against the Jags.

Those 2 plays or calls shows how much football truly is a game of inches and the diferrence between #1 seed and hoping to make playoffs.

But you are correct.... you can always look at the opposite, the fumble on the 5 yard line.

Then I can say but the Pat's got a bogus roughing that passer call that allowed them to get 7 rather than 3 and the ridiculous stoppage of play on the offsides when the play should have been allowed to continue. If the refs just did their job properly that fumble inside the 5 becomes irrelevant.

Crazy season. Fun season. Hoping and knowing we win out and make the playoffs

As a result yes but without this ****e play call we’d have beaten the Raiders
You can't really say that, lots of other bad called could have been made throughout. One play doesn't make a full game, but some sure are more memorable than others. A a number of those (win or lose) were in snow.

If we’re blaming one unit on this team….It’s unequivocally the OL. They have been awful the entire year and have only been decent against losing teams lately.

I get what your saying as momentum and motivation is changed along with play calling etc. However considering we went to OT and we more then likely punted from a similar position I think this particular play affected our season more then any other. Also to me it’s the most avoidable bad play of the season.

I’m not including the play where Tua got injured as he was likely to get injured later in that game
