The sad fact is, one play changed this whole game. We are up 24-3 and driving the ball for more points and f'ing Devonn Bess coughs it up. Yeah, say what you will about the questionable call, but Bess needs to make that catch. That single play caused a domino of events that we could not recover from. We are a team devoid of character who can handle that momentum swing. We went from perhaps getting three points to giving up 7 points...a 10 point swing. Bess was garbage today as was Ginn. I have been a Dolphin fan since the David Woodley days, but I also know this franchise, and when Bess fumbled it, I told my wife, "watch, we will end up losing this game"...how may times have we seen this happen to us. We may have the single worst WR in the NFL. None of them are worthy of being in the NFl. It is a f'ing disgrace.

That play was huge...the playcalling going into a shell hurt, the WR's are not great, but several are NFL caliber.

This is year two of a three year rebuild. Rebuilt the lines first, secured the QB next, and now we are working our way outside to the passing game- both rushing it and defending it. The last step will be to actually improve it with the WR's. Though I think they actually felt like they had done so in the draft this year, we need a true stud out there and don't have even close to one.

actually i agree with you. That was what gave the Saints the opening for a comeback.

I told myself the same thing...I wanted a score going into half time

I actually agree with you 100% except I wasn't mad at Bess, I was FURIOUS with Dan Henning for that p^ssy=a$$ play call. 2nd and 13 and we do a WR screen. The entire universe along with the Saints D knew that lame play call was coming and it would have netted nothing. It not only netted nothing, it gave the Saints the ball. THROW THE GD BALL DOWNFIELD!!!!!!!!!!!!! Like they did a few plays earlier in the quarter with a 20 yard strike down the middle... just not to Ginn. To Camarillo or Hartline. I literally blame that game on Henne and Sparano for the idiotic TO at the end of the half - MORON!

IMO the play that changed the game was Sparano calling the timeout when the Saints were going to attempt that field goal right before halftime from the 1.

Brees goes to Payton, talks him into letting them go for it, and promptly dives into the end zone himself for 6.

I agree, that was the turning point of the momentum.

We still had a 14 point lead at the half... but the way Miami came out in the 2nd half, you'd think we were DOWN by 14. all the energy and fire seemed to be gone, at least on the defensive side.

Out of all the plays, you pick that one Bess one. Ok. How bout Ginn tipping it to Porter and Sharper? How about Ginn dropping one straight to him? How about Ginn letting a pass go straight through his hands in the endzone?

Bess was down... shouldn't have even been ruled a fumble in the first place.

I think the dropped/bobbled pick 6 by Ginn is really what did it for the us & it put the saints right back in it.

This whole discussion is depressing SMH

True, Bess looked like his knee was down.

Like I said in another thread, EVERY close call in the game went to the saints. (the one single exception being the bess drop early in the game which was ruled a catch, which didn't result in points anyway).

PTCIman you are dead on. I also say that was THE game changing play. I watched in a bar and couldn't hear any explanation of why his knee wasn't down. What happened?

I agree, THAT was exactly the turning point.

Ginn's lack of playmaking ability is more than dissapointing. He has become the antithesis of a clutch receiver.

I agree with you here. I think this was the play that made the real difference. I have no idea why Crowder called the time out. I don't know if it came from the sidelines...but I think it was just Crowder being stupid...mainly because Crowder sucks!!!
