You know, besides John Elway, one thing that Denver has that might make it a more appealing destination for Peyton Manning is the altitude. I can say that I live at sea level, but when I went golfing in Colorado once, I hit my drives 15-20 yards further and I had to use one club less than I normally would with my irons right? So normally if I was going to use a 7 Iron to reach the green, I'd have to use the 8 or risk over shooting it.
So, my point is that I'll bet it works the same way throwing a football. The Air is thinner, so if arm strength is an issue with regards to whatever he is able to recover from the surgery, at least while he's in Denver, he'll probably be able to throw the ball 5-10 yards further in Mile High Stadium than he would be anywhere else.
Just a thought...
