Assuming we keep only 5 WRs on the roster this year (most likely it will be 6). Of the guys listed below, who do you think makes the roster?

Armon Binns (6'3" 211)
Kevin Cone (6'2" 216)
Brandon Gibson (6'0" 205)
Brian Hartline (6'2" 200)
Matt Hazel (6'1" 202)
Jarvis Landry (5'11" 202)
Rishard Matthews (6'0" 215)
Ryan Spadola (6'1" 205)
Marcus Thigpen (5'9" 200)
Mike Wallace (6'0" 200)
Damian Williams (6'1" 200)
Stephen Williams (6'5" 215)
Rantavious Wooten (5'9" 185)

I think Wallace, Hartline and Landry are locks to make the roster obviously. If Gibson isn't 100% I can't see us keeping him despite his chemistry with Tannehill and the ability he showed last year. Damian Williams and Thigpen provide return ability but not much as receivers. Hazel is a draft pick but I think he is a candidate for the practice squad.

My 5:
Mike Wallace
Brian Hartline
Rishard Matthews
Jarvis Landry
Armon Binns

Wallace
Hartline
Gibson
Matthews
Landry

I'll put my VCash on it.

Mike Wallace
Brian Hartline
Brandon Gibson
Javon Landry
Rishard Matthews

I do think we keep 6 and inactivate the 6th on game days if everyone else is healthy. Stash a couple more on the practice squad.

Yup, this is exactly mine too.

I'm keeping 6:

Wallace
Hartline
Landry
Matthews
Binns
Damian Williams

Gibby to PUP. When Gibby is ready, odds are someone else may be nicked and we could use another body anyway. We have a talented corps, and I want to preserve it.

I said 5 on purpose. Gibson can't go to PUP because he's already participated in camp.

Preseason PUP List
A player who, as a result of football-related injuries, is unable to take part in training camp practices may be assigned to the preseason PUP list. Players can be moved off the PUP list to the active roster at any time, even after one practice. A player cannot be placed on the PUP list, however, once he has taken the field for a practice, even if only for a few minutes.

Regular-Season PUP List
A player who finishes the preseason still on the PUP list can then be placed on the regular-season PUP list. Such players must sit out the first six games their team plays. At that point, teams have a five-week window in which to allow the player to begin practicing; from the day the player begins practicing, teams have an additional 21-day window in which to decide whether to activate the player to the 53-man roster. If either of those deadlines pass, the player must remain on the PUP list for the remainder of the season.

Anyway it shakes out I think this is the key to our offense. I don't see a real #1 here but 5 or 6 good players. If we can pass protect and get after the CB depth of other teams by using multiple WR sets that's where I feel we make hay.

Thanks, Truth, I didn't realize those PUP rules.

If you make me keep 5, I do Wallace, Hartline, Gibby, Landry, and Matthews.

I'd like one of the spots go to a taller guy, that's why i'd keep 6. Binns or Damian Williams could compete for it.

My 5:

Wallace
Hartline
Landry
Gibson
Matthews

*With Wallace and Hartline being again the top two starters, and either Gibson or Matthews (Depending how healthy Gibson is) taking the slot position to start the season, but eventually Landry will be taking that position and if he continues to shine the way he has, it may be way sooner then later.

#6 Armon Binns

*Having Binns to help in the redzone would be great, but if Miami is keeping only 5, Binns is a luxury, considering the 1st 5 have proven to be more consistent, and not coming back from a season ending injury (other then Gibson), but if Miami keeps 6, I would love to have Binns out there if he is able to prove himself again this offseason, and outshines Stephen Williams.

Binns seems to be the logical "big body" receiver which is why I kept him and left Gibson off my 5. If Gibson can only run 5 or 10 plays before having to go to the sideline and ice his knee I just don't see us keeping him. Not sure what the cap hit would be (or savings) but like I heard someone say once...sometimes your best ability is your availability.

The 6th will be Thigpen or whoever beats him out for the return job.

The top 5 will be;
Wallace
Hartline
Gibson
Matthews
Landry

Egnew while listed as TE will see a lot of time split out and probably be a prime red zone target.

One thing I think many are forgetting is Thiggy. Someone has to be our STs guy. If Damian Williams (WR) or Damien Williams (RB) can take over the return duties Thiggy might be out the door, but if not then Thiggy stays which will mean we can probably only keep 5 more WRs. It will come down to how they play in preseason but I can see a trade in the works if some of the young guys play well.

I love Hartline and would hate to see him leave but I can see a situation where either Hartline, Gibson (if healthly) or Mathews is traded to a team who suffers a couple injuries at the WR position.

I think a player like Damian Williams has a great chance to make the roster because of his return abilities and because he is a better WR than Thiggy. Then again Thiggy if used correctly could bring a lot to the offense as well. I also think Binns has a realistic shot at the final 53 because of his redzone ability. But he has to stay completely healthly and play well in the preseason games.

I think there are only two stone cold locks to make the final 53, Wallace and Landry. Hartline is about 95% to be here because it might cost us too much to trade him. Gibson is around 85% to be here and then Mathews, Williams, Thiggy, Binns in that order. If Williams stock drops from being bad as a returner it will hurt him, and if Thiggy doesn't become a bigger part of the offense it will hurt him. The RB Williams might be the difference . If he is able to become the returner then that might open up another spot for either the other Williams or Binns. That is my take, for what it's worth.

How is Matthews looking? Haven't heard much. But I think you have to go with a predictable line up

wallace
Hartline
gibson
Landry
Mathews

I think damien williams makes the team (the RB) which means we can keep the 5 I mentioned

I really don't see Gibson's knee being a long term problem. If it is still an issue 3/4 weeks from now then yes it will be a story, but right now having to ice it a few times at the start of camp in a non-issue to me. I really can't see that being something that doesn't get better over the next couple of practices. He has another month to get that up to speed, and with his young age and low injury history I would be shocked if that continues to be a problem. JMO

Of the rest, Binns gets the nod. The staff has been high on him and every time we practice red zone scoring, his name seems to pop up
