Only Coach That Matters Is Saban!

I am somewhat depressed at Linehan leaving, but does it really matter? Don't you think Saban will keep this thing moving in the right direction?

I really think the only coach that truly matters to this team is Saban, because no matter which assistants leave, he will get amazing coaches to replace them.

So I do not cry today for our offense. They will be better next year, hopefully. I for one will not miss the reverse, and I will not miss passing on almost every 3rd and 1.

And as far as the big plays go, they'll still be there.

Rejoice! SABAN IS STILL HERE!!! And that is the only thing that really matters.
 
good point, I'm sure they have coaches on the bench just waiting to get in.
 
Personally, I think there are two coaches that matter:

1. Saban

2. Houck.

... Everybody else
 
you got that right!!!

He will do what is best for the team, and they will be fine.
 
I think where it does matter is when a new oc wants to put in a whole new system. Even I modified offense in the nfl will take time to learn. I dont think that Saban would bring a guy in who would, for example, put in a wc offense, but it still takes time to learn new systems.

Sometimes consistency and familiarity is a good thing.

I'm not so disappointed at Scotty leaving as I am about possibly taking in a new offensive system. I thought at times that Linehan made some pretty strange calls, especially in the red zone. what do you guys think

100% agreed with those two intact we are in good shape......... :dolphins:
 
Not admitting this is a big loss is shortsighted. Linehan was one of the best OCs in football and was probably the biggest reason for our offenses success. Saban is a great coach and will probably fill the void with someone qualified, but the statements of Chris Chambers, and the great improvement when Linehan moved down to the field speak volumes about what this guy meant to this team.
 
Is it me or does every one feel like me when people talk about Saban. It is almost like he is heading toward the top of the class already to stand alongside Shula and Marino. I know its a big statement to make, but its the way I feel right now :dolphins:
 
Good Post. I said it before, Linehan wasn't going to be the reason we finally made it back to the super bowl and his leaving isn't going to prevent us from getting back there.
