Seeing how the team is performing with Philbin gone, does it change your opinion on Ireland at all? I mean it was Philbin that jettisoned Vontae, Brandon Marshall, Dansby etc.. Ireland had talent on this team..

Kind of irrelevant at this point, but does make me wonder.

No my opinion of Ireland has not changed for many reasons.

It was Ireland that jettisoned Vonte Davis. Philbin may not have objected but it was Ireland who got the ball rolling on that deal with the Colts.

I didn't have a problem with the Marshall trade especially seeing how things went with Wallace.

I'm still not sure why people are still butt hurt about Dansby getting cut/released because all they did was complain about him when he was here.

Nope....

Hartline Deal
Mike Wallace
any second round pick
Dion Jordan

Joe wasnt enough of an alpha to lead those personalities in a head coach role imo. So Ireland tried to support him and give him the roster he wanted. Idk, not saying Ireland was a good GM, but makes you wonder how much was Philbin complicating things.

He did...when? By having a receiving group made of Legedu Naanee, Anthony Armstrong, Marlon Moore and Jabar Gaffney. By not getting bonafide LT when Philbin had concerns about Martin?

My opinion has changed. I used to think he was horrible and I think he was horrible × 1000000000

Dion Jordan? How about that whole 2013 draft? Jordan, Jamar Taylor, Dallas Thomas, Will Davis, Caleb Sturgis...some of the worst players in franchise history.

Absolutely not.

Look at the way he handled the wide receiver position. Legedu Naanee, Anthony Armstrong, Davone Bess, huge contract to Hartline, huge contract to Wallace. Where are they now? Out of the league, out of the league, out of the league, can't get off the bench, total non-factor. For other teams.

Yup. Dion Jordan: no longer with the team, total bust. Jamar Taylor: bad cornerback. Will Davis: no longer with the team. Dallas Thomas: bad guard. Caleb Sturgis: no longer with the team, terrible with his new team, too. Josh Kaddu: huh?

Brian Hartline: no longer with the team, backup. Mike Wallace: no longer with the team, irrelevant in Minny. Brandon Gibson: no longer with the team. Tyson Clabo: no longer in the NFL.

Amazing, amazing, amazing off-season, Jeff. Picks and money.

I want to put that Dion Jordan fiasco on Ireland but that is actually a total team failure. Ireland asked to coaches who they wanted and they said Dion Jordan so Ireland traded up for him.

Then again, look at this year's receivers. Stills, Jennings, Parker, and Cameron have done nothing. Landry has been good but, Matthews (who many here did not want) has been our best receiver. The draft has offered no help so far this year, and nothing VG (past Landry) from last year. Ya just never know.

Whats the thought process here? Philbin was responsible for talent acquisitions and departures >> clearly the team has talent >> which proves Philbin ****ed up?

(Obviously I'm being facetious, I know the thought process: Philbin was in charge of all bad signings/cuts while Ireland/Hickey/Tannenbaum were responsible for all the good moves.)
