Opinion of Ross

Congradulations are in order to Mr. Ross for it being the right move or the wrong move about Jeff Ireland? At least you have shown the Miami Dolphins Fans that you do care and are trying to do something to stop this nightmare. You probably have 80% of he fans backing you hopeful you will clean the rest of the trash out as well? I think that the fans will have you back in the future,and it should show in the stadium. Feeling like a fan again and it sure feels good Thank You.

Now he needs to get rid of Philbin and let the next GM choose a HC. Ross picked Philbin, but Ross isn't an experienced "football" guy so he didn't know what he was doing. He fell for Philbin's bull about his ideal system and its dynamic, explosive offense.

Whole I would have preferred Ross flat out **** can Ireland, I am happy that he laid down an ultimatum. Either work with within my conditions or get out. So it all works for me. Now he just needs to hire a GM that understands football better.

My opinion of him right now is that he got rid of the people who were holding us back, and he kept the people who can move us forward - so my opinion of him is favorable. My opinion could change depending on who he brings in as GM.

All in all, I think Ross is a good owner and we should be -for the most part- happy he is the owner of our beloved franchise. He's an intelligent business man who is not into making volatile moves based purely on emotion. Sure, he's had some missteps, but looking through the perspective of "things could be a whole lot worse", I'm happy with him as the owner of my fins.

We've been lucky to have some damn good owners over the years.

The problem here is that we got rid of Ireland by Ross being an idiot once again, instead of because he did the right thing. It is great the Ireland is gone, but Ross may have already screwed things up with any new GM candidates because of what happened.
