RT is a team player and nobody here can tell us otherwise.

RT lovers ( I am in that group) or haters can't speak about his teammates loyalty (he was sacked and sacked and sacked and never spoke about bad OL play)....he's an example.

So, with this loyalty I think the FO will show him how he's our leader and restructure him.

In that process RT will gain security in case of another injury and the team will gain cap to sign other players.

I would like Suh to do the same, but I'am not so sure about his loyalty (JMO).

We need to sign many solid players and if the offensive leaders and defensive leader don't made moves like that......2018 is done already.

You mean to tell me a guy wants restructure because it "increases his guaranteed money" coming off back to back season ending injuries? What a team player lol

And there is nothing left to restructure from Suh (unless you wanna lose that 2020 out), and he has all of the leverage. Why on earth would he take a paycut? He has earned his money every year, even if the results from a team aspect have lacked.

The team likely will extend Ryan and put some injury provisions on the deal to protect themselves, lowering the cap hit this year in the process . . . . But that is up to them, all Ryan has to do is say yes I will take more money right now.

Comical. Tannenbaum has already ruined our cap, and much like in NY, he has to restructure and add money to average players contracts to get by each year. Are the Jets still paying Mark Sanchez? Ha!
Tannehill may be a great guy, team player but he's also 30. coming off 2 ACL injuries, and still an unknown. He'd be a fool not to restructure to add more money to his deal. The phins would also be fools not to draft legit competition for him this year.

I think that's a misleading title. Also, restructure means he's still gets the same money but more down the road. The only thing that really helps the team is when a player takes a pay cut

Ozzy rules!!

Suh already restructured to help the team he won't do it again.

Aponte had a beautiful contract laid out that would have decreased his contact this year and next by millions of dollars. T-bag decided to take that savings up front and used it on Kiko and Maxwell and now we have to continue to rework contracts.

T-bag isn't a cap manager he's a cap spender.

I don't claim to understand these contracts as they are complex, but if we were to restructure RTs contract why don't we turn a large portion of it into a Bonus? Won't this give us the desired affect without rolling to much money over to next year or the year after that?

Over the next 2 season Tannehill’s contract is basically the same set up. To me that leaves the window open to either restructure him or cut him, depending on his health and on field play. It virtually cost nothing to cut him if they want.

No chance. This is actually a great contract for the Dolphins. If he’s mediocre or gets hurt this year they can walk away. If he finally plays to his potential we have a QB.
