A couple of weeks ago I noticed that we were leading a statistical category that I wasn't that familiar with.
Team Drives starting in Opponent 20.
After 4 games we had 6 drives starting in the Red Zone and had twice as many of these than any other team.
The average is to get one every 50 drives (2%). After 4 weeks we were at 10%. So you wouldn't think that this could continue.
But against Green Bay we blocked another punt and added another. Then the Cam Wake strip sack last week added yet another.
So after 6 games we have 8 now and continuing to average 10.96% drives starting in Red Zone. The next closest team has 3

I decided to go back to 1990 and see what the best teams were in this category and how it reflected on season results
Currently the Dolphins are averaging twice as many as any of the top 22 teams over the last 24 years. Incredible.
If they get a few more they will surpass all the teams ahead of them for number of red zone drives. A majority of the team on this list
made the playoffs and the average record was between 10-6 and 9-7. 2 teams on this list made the Super Bowl with Baltimore winning in 2000
