According to the weather alert on WKMG CBS 6 Orlando's 11pm broadcast "the current National Hurricane Center forecast shows that Wilma will still be well off Florida's west coast well into Sunday evening. The most up to date forecast track shows that conditions in South Florida should not start to detioriate until Monday morning."

Now I do not blame the NFL for moving the game because the player, their families and citizens of the area have to make preparations to be safe. I am just so frustrated that I will be missing yet another Dolphin's game so I just wanted to vent. WKMG is saying that The NFL denied their request to air the game tomorrow night, Tagliabue and the cronies in NYC don't seem to care too much about fan base. Living in this area of the state is horrible for viewing Dolphin games. First of all Orlando thinks they are the second coming of Tampa Bay. Everywhere you look it's "Go Bucs" this and "Go Bucs" that. The local radio and TV stations declare the Bucs "our home team", grocery and convenience stores have Bucs' displays up everywhere...it really is stomach turning. To make matters worse the Jags basically own the rights to show what they want during football season around here, which is why we could not watch the Dolphins-Bucs game last week. My wife and I will be searching for a local sports bar/restaruant that will be showing the game. Anyone in the area know of one that will be? Thanks, be safe to all our neighbors to the south, and Go Dolphins!!!!

Well the weather channel is predictin a Monday afternoon hit, if it even hits. Ive also seen projections that have the hurrican completley missing FL

I dunno if anyone else in Orlando noticed, but I only see Dolphins and NY fans at the sports bars on SUndays, maybe a few BUcs fans, but they are way outnumbered.

If Orlando has more Dolphin fans why do they show Bucs games. Is it not about ratings and the Dolphins should give you more

yeah, and popularity doesn't quite explain it.

you probably know the jags have 1/5 of the fans here in town.

each city gets to grab an area and claim it as their own. jacksonville claims orlando as a secondary market.

so its really not about ratings its about the nfl trying to create a level playing field for all teams

people dont like it, but the nfl TV model is the gold standard

Jacksonville has Orlando listed as one of it's official secondary markets?

I didn'nt know that.......interesting.

im not 100%

but i remember reading some discussion about it by some orlando fans. its likely listed on the jags site the way dolphins list their stations

EDIT:woohoo 1,000 posts!

That's one hell of a secondary market!
Isn't Orlando over 3 hours away from Jacksonville?

No, J'ville is about two or two and half hours from Orlando. It's certainly closer than Miami, but it is truly infuriating to have to watch the Jags on TV almost every week when the Fins have games as well.

not being telivised on direct tv until sun am

So its basically an ESPN classic game or game of the week (already know the outcome).
I don't feel I should be paying the outlandish price that Direct TV charges to see games on delayed telecast.

Yep, its true. I moved from Ft Lauderdale to Orlando 2 yrs ago and just learned that this year. That's why I got NFL sunday ticket. The irony is that this is more of a Bucs market than J-ville and you would be hard pressed to find a Jags fan anywhere in the Orlando area.
There are plenty of Phins and Bucs fans, though. I drove to the Bucs-Phins game last week and got there in 1hr and 20 minutes. Orlando is much closer to Tampa and the Bucs have training camp at Disney's Wide World of Sports.
