DreamWeaver said:Actually, I live in Oviedo (Orlando suburb) & have Sunday ticket. If the game is televised on local TV then it is blacked out on Direct TV...same goes for Tampa & Jax games. It really sux since I don't have HD on my local channels yet so basically I get the majority of games every Sunday in HD except the one game I want...Miami's! The Dolphins are usually broadcast on the local channels in Orlando, unless there is a conflict with the other two teams but that rarely happens...

Splat said:Hello all.....for those of you that live in the Orlando area and have the Sunday Ticket, did you get all the Dolphins games last year or were any blacked out?
ohall said:I had NFL ticket, but I believe something like 3 or 4 games were blacked out in our area last year and 6 were blacked out the year before.
The NFL team that effects us are the Jags.

Listening to the local talk radio "wokv 690" yesterday, there was breaking news that Jags owner Wayne Weaver sent a letter to the city of Jacksonville hinting that they may consider moving. They are losing money in the small market that reaches a far as Savannah Ga. to the north and Orlando to the south and Lake City to the west. There are still many, many Dolphins fan in the City of Jax. and north Fl. as was evidenced in the amount of aqua jerseys in AllTell Stadium last year. Infact there appeared to be more Dolfans in the stadium than jags fans.
The Jaguars covered 9,713 seats for the 2005 season to reduce Alltel Stadium's capacity in hopes of increasing their chances to have all home games televised. The team must sell 49,000 non-premium seats to lift the blackouts that plagued the team last year but must still sell 5,000-9,000 tickets to get those games on television.
Splat said:OK....so if it's blacked out on DirecTV it's because it's on one of our local stations, which means we get to watch it anyway right? I just want to be able to watch all the games this year :D
DreamWeaver said:Yes, you'll definitely get to see every game unless we have another hurricane postponed game....
