Hello all.....for those of you that live in the Orlando area and have the Sunday Ticket, did you get all the Dolphins games last year or were any blacked out?

i think the games that didnt get shown last year were the titans and the pitsburg games im not from oralndo but i have sunday ticket and those games werent live

The Titans game didn't get shown because it was on a Saturday, though. No one but people in the Miami and Nashville markets saw that game live. Sunday Ticket showed in the next day at 1pm.

Im not from Orlando, but Orlando is outside the Dolphins primary market so all Dolphin games played on Sunday will be televised. The Dolphins primary market is a 100 mile radius around Dolphins Stadium. Orlando is about 200 miles from Miami.

Actually, I live in Oviedo (Orlando suburb) & have Sunday ticket. If the game is televised on local TV then it is blacked out on Direct TV...same goes for Tampa & Jax games. It really sux since I don't have HD on my local channels yet so basically I get the majority of games every Sunday in HD except the one game I want...Miami's! The Dolphins are usually broadcast on the local channels in Orlando, unless there is a conflict with the other two teams but that rarely happens...

Really? Well then I guess I stand corrected.

OK....so if it's blacked out on DirecTV it's because it's on one of our local stations, which means we get to watch it anyway right? I just want to be able to watch all the games this year :D

I had NFL ticket, but I believe something like 3 or 4 games were blacked out in our area last year and 6 were blacked out the year before.

The NFL team that effects us are the Jags.

Hopefully not for long. Listening to the local talk radio "wokv 690" yesterday, there was breaking news that Jags owner Wayne Weaver sent a letter to the city of Jacksonville hinting that they may consider moving. They are losing money in the small market that reaches a far as Savannah Ga. to the north and Orlando to the south and Lake City to the west. There are still many, many Dolphins fan in the City of Jax. and north Fl. as was evidenced in the amount of aqua jerseys in AllTell Stadium last year. Infact there appeared to be more Dolfans in the stadium than jags fans.

The Jaguars covered 9,713 seats for the 2005 season to reduce Alltel Stadium's capacity in hopes of increasing their chances to have all home games televised. The team must sell 49,000 non-premium seats to lift the blackouts that plagued the team last year but must still sell 5,000-9,000 tickets to get those games on television.

That would be GREAT. That would save me 200 bucks. :D

Jax cannot support an NFL team it seems. There are probably as many Dolphin and Falcon fans in the area as there are Jaguar fans. Also there are some Buc fans.It all comes down to their tweener identity.Half Georgia ,half Florida.

You can see that when the Florida Gators play against the Georgia Bulldogs.Half the stadium has Gator fans and half have Georgia fans.

However it is the largest city in the USA.In total city area that is.I am sure they exploited that statistic when they applied for the NFL franchise.

Having said that I dont think an eventual Jag move will effect TV blackout rules this year.It is probably a similar situation to the Marlins where there are threats to move out.

Wow, I had no idea that was going on. Maybe they should move the franchise to Orlando :D You think the area could handle 3 NFL teams?
