Is it that far? I thought it was mid-November. I know AL MVP is the last award to be announced always.

Anyway the debate will never be over. If Ortiz wins people will talk about how he doesn't play the field and if Arod wins people will talk about how Arod wasn't even the MVP of his own team and never got clutch hits.

Waiting for these numbers that show me that Ortiz is far better than Rodriguez...

WHOA WHOA WHOA now... It's obvious that everyone can see their total numbers were almost identical. So as far as being far better than Rodriguez in general is untrue.

However, my Chambers and Arod comparison was based on the clutch situations and I stand by it... In the clutch, Chambers is the AROD of the Miami Dolphins.

And in the clutch, Ortiz >>>>>>>>>>>> AROD. I have numbers to back that up if you care to debate, I'm not sure how anyone could. The numbers are overwhelmingly in Ortiz's favor.

a-rod is caca nuf said,... yeah yeah hugh #'s in the regular season but he has proven for the 2nd year in a row that come playoff time he aint worth sh*t

Ortiz will win the award.

The awards are announced one per day directly after the World Series.

albyfan, your absolutely right, A-Rod has been horrible his first 2 postseasons with the Yankees, No excuses made! The good thing about it though is he will have more opportunity's to change this fortune. If at the end of A-Rod's career he doesn't have a ring...I will truly begin to believe in the curse of A-Rod!

If he does have a ring at the end of his career, it won't be because of him. The guy is the ULTIMATE choker.

I thank the lucky stars every night that Theo didn't make the Manny for Arod swap 2 years ago. It would have ruined the Red Sox franchise, and we wouldn't have won the World Series in 2004 or saddled the Yankees with the greatest choke in sports history.

It's the curse of the Dons: Mattingly and Zimmer
