Thank goodness . . . I just knew New England was going to pony up that 2nd ala Wes Welker and get the pass rusher they covet.

Good news. I'd much rather this team keep the high draft pick and spend the approx. 10-12 million dollars a year that Osi would likely command on positions of need, you know, like a goddamn quarterback!!!

we will but it will be next year............

That was a tight window. I'm not sure what purpose that served for Osi and his agent other than to tick them off further.

I got a feeling he's going to be a cancer in the locker room all year.

I can't believe we had interest in this guy. Look at his history. He was given a top notch contract and basically had has had only 2 good seasons for that kind of money. He was injured for one season and had 2 sub par seasons, especially AFTER he got paid. This dude isn't worth nearly what he is asking. Sure 10 forced fumbles in a great stat last year and double digit sacks but his asking price is absurd for his supposed talent level. Also he had his "good" seasons with Tuck and Strahan on the team. When the coverage was rolled to him, he didn't fair very well. I don't get why he thinks he is worth his supposed asking price.

At this point and unless I am missing something I am dumbfounded why we haven't locked Solai up yet long term. That should have been a number one priority this year. Would give us more cap space. Absolutely dumbfounded on this one.

Every time he's had a big season he's gone to the Giants front office and asked for a bigger contract. They tore up his rookie contract when he had two years left and gave him a new contract with $21 million guaranteed, he went on IR the next year in 2008, had a bad season in 2009 and then finally has a good season last year and now he wants another contract when he has two years left on this one. Giants didn't ask him to take a pay cut in 2008 or 2009 he shouldn't get a pay raise after having a big season in 2010. This guy just wants to get paid.

If I were the Giants I would just get rid of him. He'll never be happy wherever he is cause someone is always going to have a bigger pay day and then he's going to want to get a new contract.

good, the equivalent of putting a straight jacket on our regime to thwart them from doing what's in their nature to be irresistable.
