Free agent OT Ray Willis worked out for the Dolphins Sunday.
Willis wants to play closer to his Florida home, so the Dolphins would be a nice fit. The Fins are said to be seeking veteran guards because they're not thrilled with 2010 third-rounder John Jerry.

OT Ray Willis started all 16 games for the Seahawks at RT in 2009. And started 10 of 16 games in 2008.
 
Jeez I was hoping you had a typo and it was for Ray Lewis . . . or Parick Willis. It's Ray Willis!!
 
Meh. I don't think Jerry is the one we need to look to replace. Our LG spot is a gaping hole. How old is this dude anyhow? and coming off an injury? Not someone I'm jazzed about.
 
How can you pass judgement on a guy that appeared to have a severe illness and really didn't play last year or in the capacity to be fully judged?
 
yeah not jazzed about willis either but if there's 2 big names in camp i could see these guys going the wow factor and cutting as a wake up call for everyone else its vernon carey and yeremiah bell...either one gets cut i wouldn't be surprised

he's got the feet...but it baffles me a guy can look that good in his rookie preseason i know its preseason but still at guard and now be giving away first team snaps to ray feinga...just strange
 
Ugh I think Carey still has something left in the tank, but if the knee is still an issue you could be right hoos. A healthy and "in shape" Carey is still a pretty solid RT . . . plus I hear that cap hit won't be friendly.

I thought they overpaid Y Bell from the beginning, there is no way he is going to play out that whole contract.
 
would be good for depth....i hope we sign him, and yes its because im an FSU fan and he went there....ha ha
 
bell got like $20 mil over 4 years and at the time i thought we needed to bring him back...he was coming off a very good season was a sure tackler and displayed real quick acceleration plus he made you pay for it as a physical force ...but father times catching up there and this last season you could see signs of age there...missing tackles in run support he usually makes etc...i'd like to keep him for one more year but i may well cut him and see if i can get him at a lower #...but that really depends on how the pup safeties fare

carey i think was 6 years $42 mil i'm not sure about the cap hit but if we have the money sitting around to eat his cap hit don't be surprised if he exits stage left...if not this year i think by next definitely...barring him restructuring and taking a pay cut
