OTAs Practice Highlights

A few observations:

1. Ricky looks bigger than last season

2. Ginn caught a very poorly thrown ball in the comeback drill with ease

3. Beck has a quicker release than either Henne or McCown

4. Kendall Langford looks huge
 
Good observations.....man i'm gettin' excited to see more on field action!
 
This board really corrupts people . . . why when the WR drills were happening I was waiting to see if Hagan dropped the ball LMAO (he caught it btw lol).

Things I noticed:

If u don't know the difference between a 3-4 DE and a 4-3 DE . . . . watch towards the end when you see Matt Roth (#98) and Kendall Langford (#70). . . . the size comparison is amazing . . . Langford is MUCH bigger than Roth . . . Roth looks like he lost some weight or Langford is just that big . . . either way . . . u definitely can tell the difference . . . considering they both are supposed DE's.

Ronnie and Ricky on the same field with the same Uni's . . . u gotta love that.

Beck is CLEARLY shorter than Henne and McCown . . . but in the end, its all about who has the best camp . . . on the bright side . . . Beck doesn't look no where near as scrawny as he did last year around this time . . . kid has been hitting the weights.

Feels weird not seeing 54 or 99 out there . . . gotta be the first time in 10+ years.

1. Ricky's momma says he's 236 pounds, no? Definitely bigger. :)

2. I noticed that hip-pocket catch. Fun, but hope you don't have to do it too much during games.

3. More like, Beck's release is a smidgen faster than McCown's, and Henne's release is signfiicantly slower than either's.

4. I thought he was a slender DT at first, he needs to shave the gut a bit.

When I first read your comment I was thinking hmmm I wonder...I went back and watched it a few times from the very first snap when Beck is to our right and Henne is to our left. I don't see a clear difference in height at all. They look the same height when they drop back to pass together. I just don't see it. Beck has put on some muscle and that I can see.
 
Beck ought to look shorter than McCown. He is shorter.

But Beck and Henne look about the same.

Wow . . . I just rewatched it . . . and i definitely saw again where Beck was the shortest . . . I mean its not a big deal . . . just was noticeable on film . . . maybe I shouldn't have said clearly . . . but it was noticeable . . . especially on the Beck / McCown dropback. But again . . . we are talking 2 inches, not a big deal . . . and overblown to say the least.
 
Ladies... it's shorts and tee's.... if they can't look good in those.... we're in for big trouble...
 
I think Ricky Williams willl make a huge contribuition to running game this year. I think Ronnie will start and do very well but Ricky will take some of the load off of Brown maybe like 10 to 15 carries a game that will make a huge difference in the overall numbers for both backs!
