So 8 including a projected 4th round comp pick, although I think CK said we wont get one next year?

Plus whatever we get if/when we trade Ramsey.

Plus whatever we get if we trade Hill(but I feel thats wishful thinking at this point)

Edit: That 2017 draft, good lord that was awful.

It would be 9 picks next season if Miami gets a compensatory pick. As it stands right now, Miami has eight picks next season because of the trade for Houston's third round pick in 2026.

It my understanding the comp pick for Holland was lost, inspite of Campbell signing elsewhere. But if rumors are true that Ramsey and quite possible Hill are on there way out. I'd think that's add at the very least a couple of day three picks.

Why wouldn't we with the Campbell signing?

If Weaver gets hired as head coach next cycle we’d have two thirds, one in 26 one in 27

The only Compensatory pick eligible FAs we signed were Daniels and Wilson. We lost Holland, Campbell and Robert Jones.

Wilson and Daniels will nullify the 6th and 7th rounders that would have been due for Campbell and Jones respectively, leaving a 4th round compensatory pick for Holland.

If anyone was suggesting the Holland pick wouldn’t be due a compensatory pick it must have been before Calais signed for Arizona as it was 2-2 in out before that signing.

In other words, had we resigned Campbell at any cost it effectively meant we would have spent a 4th round compensatory pick on a one year rental of a 39 year old DL, which of course not a single person on the planet would do straight up.

There’s always way more to consider than face value when it comes to FA signings.

I believe NWI is borderline to qualify which puts the 4th round pick in jeopardy atleast according to Jason OTC. Can’t seem to find the tweet but I believe someone was borderline. If you do subtractions and additions I believe it’s 13 losses and 13 additions. Not sure if you have to be net numbers loss because I believe snaps lost is also a key factor and Miami lost a ton of starters that played significant snaps

I’d be surprised if NWI counted. Melifonwu signed for almost exactly the same and I’d imagine they were on top of those when dishing out those contracts.

I believe that was the other one that they considered borderline and wasn’t sure how they’d fit in. Not sure either way comp formula seems way too complicated and dumb.

Still pisses me off we got a 4th for Wilkins despite on of the highest contracts dished out with a ton of guaranteed. Worst part is they didn’t change it once they added a game. Wilkins played enough snaps to hit 3rd round comp had their been 16 games but since they added a 17th like 3 years ago, it’s not enough.
