Not necessarily the best Dolphins all-timers, but our favorites, in their prime. The team we'd LOVE to watch all day and all night.

Here's my depth chart (49 man roster):

QB- Marino, Strock, J.Jensen
RB- R. Williams, R.Brown, T.Nathan
FB- L. Czonka, K.Byars
WR-M.Clayton, P.Warfield, C.Chambers
WR-M.Duper, N. Moore, McDuffie
TE-K.Jackson, R.McMichael, B.Hardy

OL - Webb, Langer, Kuechenberg, Stephenson, Little, Newman, Foster, Giesler, Simms.

DL - J.Taylor, Baumhower, Betters, T. Bowens, Klingbeil, T.Armstrong, J.Cross

LB - AJ Duhe, Z.Thomas, Offerdahl, Buoniconti, B.Cox, Brudzinski

DB - Madison, Surtain, G.Blackwood, L.Blackwood, J.Scott, D.Anderson, T.Vincent, D.McNeal

All the early eighties teams thus far were the most exciting for me to watch.

How bout your favorite season you have seen? Mine was 1984. Was a baby during the Superbowl years so dont remember them

Quite awesome, but, Jim Jensen hardly played QB. As long as I don't see Fiedler though I'll take it.

My favorite season was 1985, even though we didn't make it to the Super Bowl.

Great Monday night games against the Bears and Patriots. Come from behind win against the Jets at home. Shutting out Buffalo at home in week 16 (several goal line stands for the Fins in that game). Beating Elway and the Broncos at Denver. Great comeback win against Cleveland at home.

I would put Griese ahead of Stroke

I never really saw Griese play and I've always liked Strock. I put crash Jensen in because he could also play WR, TE and ST.

Does anyone remember why Shula traded Keith Jackson after the '94 season? He and Marino worked well together. Maybe it was just that Shula thought Eric Green was better, but maybe it was something else.

No way, at QB Jay Fiedler is my first option! :goof:

Jackson had theoretically lost a step and was not the receiver he had been in the late 1980's. Also, Jackson was not known for his blocking.

The theory was that Green was a prodigous talent with excellent size and blocking ability.

That was one of many horrible personnel moves and spelled the end for Shula. That 1995 team with Green had 17 first rounders on the roster and was unceremoniously bounced by Buffalo in one of the least inspiring performances by the Dolphins ever. Green was a malcontent and cancer. Jackson OTOH got a ring with Green Bay.

Manny Fernandez has got to be on the list. No question.

Griese should beat out Strock.

I'd throw in Joe Rose over Hardy.
