The re-signing Yeramiah Bell has been our best off-season move to-date. We all saw the potential this guy had in the second half of the 2006 season. It was unfortunate he got hurt against the redskins in the first game of the season last year, but I believe he will come back with something to prove this year. He is a player maker with big hit ability, something we need desperately to scare teams from going down field and over the middle at will against. Our secondary is the weakest part of our defense and we need to continue to address this wether it be through the draft or later on in free aagency. But this was definately a key move for us. I love the way players perform in their "contract" year and the fact that Bell signed a one-year deal will make this guy very hungry this coming season....I just wish he signed a longer term contract so I could get this guy's jersey.

bell was hurt last season. so both sides needed to make the deal a one year deal in order to gauge where he is and then decide at the end of the season if they will look at him as a long term answer at SS.

If Yeremiah can ever stay healthy, there's no doubt in my mind he can be a top 10 safety in this league. He was the catalyst on our defense in 2006 and for the first 3 quarters of 2007. (Notice how our run defense fell apart when Yeremiah got hurt in that Washington game.)

I wouldn't say it was the best move because I think Justin Smiley could go to pro-bowls on our offensive line, but it is nice that we're retaining Bell.

Our best off-season move was hiring Bill Parcells to clean house!

Getting rid of Cam Cam Moron !!!!!!

I would have loved to give him a three year incentive laiden contract just in case he stays healthy and plays as well as we know he can. If he plays great this year his contract is going to get expensive next off-season.

I don't see how YB could be the long term answer at SS, he'll be 30 this year. At most, we'll have him 2 more years, that's not really long term, imho.

not signing PACE was the best move imo, he was worth about 10mill and the jets gave him 22mill and we were dumb enough to offer 20mill. glad we didnt sign him, although i like him as a player he is not worth 20mill.

I like Bell. He could make plays and he hopefully he still can. I'm not ready to say that's the best player move so far only because I don't know if he'll be the same player. I'm glad we kept him and didn't let him go sign with another team....

I'm rooting for #37. One of my favorite players on the team.
