Our coach thinks Crowder is a pro bowl player

His saying he COULD be a pro-bowler, not that he IS. Basically, that he has the talent, but he hasn't used it to do squat. That is what I read into it. He isn't praising him...he is saying he is playing below his abilities and below expectations. (In other words he sucks.)

Channing absolutely has the talent. He has the mental ability as well and that's one thing a lot of players lack. He's smart enough to be the leader of the defense. His only problem is making it happen on the field. He has to be able to see the play develop before it develops on the field. Zach Thomas was so good at doing that and that is why he was ALWAYS around the ball.

Channing has potential, but what he lacks is that burning desire to get better. He's complacent, and from what I can tell, difficult to inspire, because he thinks he's got it all figured out.

JT and ZT said the same thing about him 4 years ago.

Most insiders have a high opinion of him because unlike the fans they don't dwell on the one or two mistake he makes a game but point at the 65 plays he was right where he should be.

POTENTIAL IS ANOTHER WAY OF SAYING YOU HAVEN'T DONE SQUAT

It's too bad he couldn't have picked up more things from ZT.

Zach was the Chad Pennington of defenses, a film rat, a technical player. The thing with Crowder is as some have pointed out before I think he's too egotistical and he's not as willing to accept help where he needs it. Regardless I hope he steps his game up and I'd LOVE to see him pick Brady off tomm though!

we all know he is not a pro bowl player, however, it doesnt hurt coach to try to motivate him by saying this to the media

HE HAS SHOWN no PRODUCTION
He has shown NO ability for game changing plays

He has 22 tackles in 6 games or less than 4 tackles per game...EVER wonder why our safeties lead the team in tackles...Crowder and Akin are two huge reasons

Crowder has 0 forced fumbles
0 interceptions
0 sacks
but he does have that impressive 3.6 tackles a game
and 4 missed tackles

Crowders pass defense is terrible
teams have thrown to his area 21 times with 16 receptions for 202 yards

QBs have a 121.5 qb rating when throwing to Crowders area

Crowder has been rated
next to last of all inside linebackers
against the pass and run
#51 out of #52

Potential,Pro bowl:err:
Obviously mgmt wants teams to pass over the middle with ease and wants a leader with more bark than bite

In other words, lets just hope Torbor plays 100 times better than him tomm and takes the starting spot away. Wouldn't surprise me a bit. For you however, GOOZZZ FRA BAH GOOOOOOZZZZ FRA BAH!

Everyone in the NFL has the potential to be a pro bowl player.. it's up to them to live up to that potential though.

Run your stats around the league, well at leat the teams running a 3-4 and then compare them to Channing's stats. If stats is your argument, then Channing is top 10 amongst ILB's in a 3-4 scheme.

Whats they coach really suppose to say??? He really sucks and we wish we had someone else??? You honestly think he would throw him under the bus like that?? I think he would be good in Akin's spot.
