They are coached up, better game plan and if someone is injured next man in does what he needs to for their team. It comes down to coaching. We have the attitude of Philbin who reminds me alot of cam. I think this team plays harder for Sprano than it does Philbon. And I hate saying that. We couldnt even get coached up for Bills.

How did the coaching go for Denver in the SB?

It help Seattle

Denvers best coach is Payton

I believe a lot of us feel like Philbin isn't cutting it. Especially after the last two game failures.

Unfortunately, there isn't too much groundswell to boot him out after the obvious endorsement by Ross. But he will desrvedly be on the hot seat this year. Philbin can't blame Sherman or Ireland this year. He does take blame if Zach Taylor is retained, and RT still can't get the deep ball figured out.

The only game I felt the team was totally unprepared for was the Tampa game which occurred at the height of bully-gate, you can put that on the coaches if you want but that was an unprecedented event that maybe only 3 or 4 coaches in the NFL could have overcome. For the Jets game I think the defense just lost whatever energy they might have had due to the offense being so inept. Momentum-faith-confidence-belief or whatever you want to call it is a powerful drug, just look at what happened to the Chiefs. Again, you can put some of the blame on the coaching staff for the offense being inept but Ireland definitely played a role in that and, personally, I put a lot of the blame for that on the QB. Tannehill slid feet first on a third down coming up just short whereas Russell Wilson dives head first placing the ball directly on the line to gain, imo little things like that go a long way towards firing up the rest of the team.

It is not just coaching. The talent level on this team just isn't there...

The thread title should read "our coaches vs coaches from playoff teams" we were not a playoff team this year, our dicks fell off when crunch time came.

And another thing--if you have a QB that needs to be "coached up" for a must win game week 17 then you might as well start looking for another QB.

I don't think Cam would have kept the team together when the bullying scandal hit. Nor was Cam every talked about, albeit briefly, being Coach of the Year.

Yes the team laid and egg the last two games of the year and the head coach bares the majority of the blame for that but that is also on the players. If they have to be motivated to win games of that importance, not only to get into the playoffs but against divisional rivals, well...

I would tend to agree. Plenty of blame to go around. I saw a number of negative performances throughout the year, but also some positives like the Colts, Bengals, Patriots, Chargers. Need more consistency from all involved.

Miami's record against playoff teams this year was 4-3
Indy
Pats
Chargers
Bengals

Loses
Pats
Saints
Panthers

We had great shots to wins that first Pats game and the Panthers game. Saints blew us out.

Denver certainly got there but coaching and lack of adjustments killed them in that game. Sherman even said after they were jumping routes cause they figured it out. Also, not planning for the noise level borders on criminal...coaching D-.

There can be no excuse for losing to the jests the way that they did.

It wasn't all because of Sherman either. The quality control guys should have been replaced.

It looks like the Dolphins consistently managed to overlook when match-ups were not in their favor.

bunch'a guys on here say Philbin has that 'Tom Landry air' about him... that ain't Landry you're smellin' bros #trust
