I'm hanging my hat on him until he lets me down :hump: .

Seriously we need a play maker besides Wake on D to turn to when the chips are down. Hope the guy rides the momentum to a permanent spot on our roster.

Nice write up about the day he was called to join the fins starts on about a third of the way down.

Michael Thomas...Patriots enemy #1 & friend to Fins Fan everywhere.

Hoping he becomes the ball hawk we need at safety, or at least nickel.

so Grimes hasnt been good enough?

I like Grimes but he is getting long of the tooth no? This is not so much about how good or bad anyone else may be but rather this team has lacked a defensive play maker in the secondary for years now when it comes to the MOST important moment. So far...This Guy has answered the bell. He may not even see the field this week but for 6 days...The Guy is legend.

Brent Grimes has been our secondary MVP and playmaker, has consistently shut down other teams #1, has game ending INT's, and has been the best CB we've had since Pat Surtain. He has single handedly turned our weakness last season (pass D) to our strength. He literally could not do more for this team so for you to come in and say we don't have a playmaker in the secondary is very asinine.

I personally wish we never gave Reshad Jones that contract so prematurely - many of us could have told you he was going to come down to reality this season... the FO didn't see that? Anyways, that's a conversation for another day...

Hopefully Thomas can continue to to develop and perform on a consistent basis so that we can add him to our pass D rotation. We have a strong foundation back there.
