Our Defense Is JUNK!

I don't know about you all but in my humble opinion, OUR DEFENSE IS JUNK!! Can't stop the run can't get the 3 and out on a rookie mediocre quarterback. No pressure, when the ball is on the ground can't come up with the fumble. Last week and this week the DB's get gift interceptions handed to them on a platter and drop them. Our offense scores and the defense then gives up a TD the other way. God, for all you older fans this defense is a recarnation of the Olividotti defenses in the early 90's. JUNK!!

Its sad to say but I can't disagree with you. We cant stop the run and cant get off the field on 3rd down.

The last 2 games kind of remind me of our defense last year.

It's horrible. But that's what you get when you pick up bad teams' failed veterans and start them.

We have a some bright young potential stars, especially around the line but I don't think they've even started to make the DBS over like they know they need to.

Nail on the head. Without a good nose tackle in a 3-4 you are going to get run on all day. It will come when we have a few drafts but we have a serious lack of depth everywhere on this team. And yes I will admit out secondary is a freaking joke!

Unfortunately, this will not get much better this year. I can see our DL improving, but our secondary is just terrible. Terrible coverage skills, poor tackling, and not a single ball hawk among them. Will Allen is the only salvageable player but has no business as a number 1 given he can't catch a ball to save his life (reason the Giants gave him up). Bell is decent but not a game changer the the better defenses seem to have ala Ed Reid, Bob Sanders, Polamanu, etc). The others should be sending their paychecks to charity. It is outright theft that they cash them as professional football players.

Today, the entire team was junk.

That said, the defense, especially, is weak. Sure, they've had a few decent games, but on the whole .. they aren't very good.

Shoddy tackling.
Too many blown coverages.
Too many dropped INT's.
Not enough pressure on the QB.
Too many 3rd and long conversions.

The list goes on and on.
