Although our Defense has played better over the last several games (especially during the three wins) and putting aside the fact that we should never have been in a close game situation to begin with, today was the third time this year that Our D allowed a team to drive down the field for either the game winning or tying score in the final seconds of the game:
At Cleveland
Vs. Denver
At Dallas
We can also include the Giants game in which the D gave up the game winning score inside of six minutes to play. Elite or 'Top 5' defenses do not give up so many game winning drives in one season. Our D is slightly above average, but nowhere near Elite and tends to fall apart when it matters most.
