Our division - Bills first to...

Well looks like this move has paid off for Marrone. I watched the first half and thought Orton was awful - giving up a terrible pick-6. I guess he was just rusty because his numbers were good and they won the game. May not have been pretty but that was a big win for them going into Detroit and shutting down that Lions offense. Buffalo is beginning to look for real. Meanwhile, another AFC East team is following suit - Geno has been benched though after today the Jets are 1-4 with big problems.

as an FSU alum, and having seen EJ play in a ton of games both big and small.....I'm not surprised to see him benched.
Same here. Good kid, tries hard, very athletic, and has heart. Just can't read defenses and can't make decisions under pressure.

Orton is a band-aid at best, the Buffalo franchise took a huge step back benching EJ. The rebuild begins again because if you don't have a QB in the league these days, you don't have anything.

Huge step back by Benching EJ really. Maybe he takee the benching and learns on bench then is ready to play. If not get a QB. With the Bills defense they can win with Orton

Like this week. I just want AVG QB play that is it. This Bills defense is just really really good.

I said this about our team last season. We had a great defense. Its a damn shame Philbin did not realize Tannehill was garbage and go to Matt Moore.

Unless you have a great defense and get average QB play. You can win a division like that.

And how did they take a step back by benching a garbage QB who will never amount to anything? I fail to see the logic there.

Win as many as you can with Orton and a great defense. Enjoy the season. They might win the division. They can draft a QB in the offseason. That does not mean rebuilding.

Ballsy move. That combined with the Watkins trade which was another ballsy move won the game for you. As far as the QBs it probably is close to an identical situation to ours, do you play the guy that maybe gives you mid 80's ratings week in week out or go with the boom or bust option? We'll see who survives this battle of attrition.

If the Bills win next week then they are the team to beat in the Division. They would be 2-0 in the Division and have 2 road wins against tough teams.
Their only loses being to a very good San Diego team and blowing a game on the road against an average Houston team.

that is a huge game coming up. Not sure who to root for.

Good for you. Then it should come to no shock when the same or worse happens with Winston at the NFL lever either. :dphan:

Because Orton is not a long term solution. Step back. It's not rocket science.
