Let's look at it like this, I feel in many different ways we're going to find ourselves a very good player. This team as a lot of holes that we could go many different ways and still be fine.

1. Brady Quinn: We could possibly trade up with washington to #6 and try to take Quinn if he's still there. Obviously this makes sense as of right now, because we don't know if Culpepper is going to be ready, and we surely cannot have Lemon leading us into the season. This could obviously change if we make a deal for Trent Green. But Quinn at #6, saying if we traded up, would be a huge pick up and could finally put to rest the QB carousel that we have had in miami since Marino.

2. Levi Brown: I know this isn't the "sexy" pick but lets face it... our o-line isn't very good and Brown could anchor the left side for 8-10 years. This o-line is a LT and possibly a C away from being a pretty good o-line.

3. Leon Hall: Travis Daniels and Will Allen are both not #1 corners. Hall is a football player however you look at it. Not the fastest, although ran a very good 40 time at the combine, but has killer instincts and is always around the ball. He's physical and can come up and make the tackle if needed. (This saying if Jason Allen stays at safety rather than moving to CB).

4. Laron Landry: One of the safest picks in this draft IMO. Big, fast, physical safety that can come up and light someone up, but still has a good feel in coverage. (Just like the last one, this could change if Allen is going to stay at safety). Bell came on strong last season, and with the addition of Landry, this safety tandem could be one of the best in the league.

5. Amobi Okoye: I don't know if I need to say much. This kid is a freak at his age. He's only going to get bigger and better, and already is the top DT in this draft. And with the age of our DT's, this too would be a smart pick.

(I would throw in Patrick Willis because the guy is going to be a monster in the NFL and I would hate to see the Bills get him, but as of right now, we're ok at LB with Thomas, Crowder, Porter, and even throw in Taylor. I wouldn't be mad with the pick because Thomas isn't going to be around forever, but a few other players could help us more for the next couple of seasons rather than Willis)

My hope is that we either get Brady, or trade down, I just have a feeling that Brown is not going to be an elite Linemen, and worthy of being taken in the top 10.

Nice thread with accurate breakdown IMO. Some of this might seem obvious, but you took the time to give insight as to why it is obvious. 3 stars...

My thoughts exactly, I don't feel confident penciling in Brown as our LT for the next ten years.

Nice post. I cant see us taking Leon Hall though, I might swap him for Branch in your list although he seems to be slipping on a lot of boards. Personally if it comes to Branch or Okoye then I would hope we went for Okoye. 5 or 6 diamonds in this draft but not sure they are a perfect fit for top 5/6 teams so I see some trading up/down and that is going to impact us at 9.

very true i like what you are saying if brady, landry, and maybe amobi okoye
are there then take them but if adrian peterson is there i am sure we could find a team that would like to trade picks and a Second round pick to move up to get AD maybe same thing for willis what ever we can do to get them some were else other than in the Bills

I feel we will find many suiters for our pick if Brown, Landry or Peterson is there. Its about time we stop getting screwed on draft day and start scewing back, if Quins not there and we are not sold on Brown( for the record , he would be my choice) then trade down and grab Staley or Olsen or Revis. I feel that these are the mid first rd steals of this draft, and an extra 2nd or third could help inject that youth into our system we are lacking.

where is tedd ginn in this scenario,,,,we will not go defense with our pick,,,three scenario's imo.

1]we go after brady
2}we draft either brown or ginn if both are available it will be ginn
3}if none of the three are available we trade down and go for next best tackle or wideout on our board.

NO WAY WERE GOING DEFENSE WITH OUR FIRST PICK.

I hope we trade down. Pickup a QB with our first pick in the second round. We can pick up a much needed additional pick draft pick and obtain a quality player with a pick between 11-19 in the first. I am just trying to think long term as I think this upcoming season is going to be a long one. We play a tough schedule and our offense is full of holes. We will be picking in the top ten next year again.

Nice post. The Dolphins are in a great position in that any number of players will fill a huge need for us at the #9 pick. Obvioulsy QB is imperative, but I am happy with some second tier choices. A trade down would be nice (if we can get ateam to do it) because we could use an extra 2nd or third round pick, and, as long as we didn't trade down too far, we can still get an impact player in the first round.

All I know is I CANT WAIT!!!!!! It will be soooo exciting!!!!!

You say our first round will go like this: But there is noway all those guys would be on the board at our 1st 2nd ect,ect Some of those guys you picked if not all those guys will be gone in the first round.

I'm wondering if Mueller would possibly consider what player might be drafted by NE, Buffalo, or NYJ's that we passed over and would come back to bite us, like Willis or Landry. For example, if NE moves up to take Willis, will he be a thorn in our side for years? I know Mueller has to make the pick thats best for us, but I wonder how much it might enter into his considerations.
