Well guys this season isnt looking to bright, but im still cheering our dolphins on. There are some major issues with this team, and I layed out a plan of what i think we need to do.

Free Agency
Our Biggiest need in Free Agency is to bring in some experienced OL with talent insted of another teams retred

Sign - RT - Max Starks - @ 24 he is young, and already has 3 yrs of experience. Also he is a huge being 6'7 and 337. The type of guy we need to bring in, and protect our QB, and nock bodies over @ the line.

LT - Mike Gandy - 6'4 310LBS, and BIG and NASTY. Willis McGahee has pruduced behind him, and Ronnie should be next. He can protect our QB blindside, and this would complete our sturdy book-end OT for the next 4 years.

OLB - Cato June - While Lance Briggs would be my top choice I dont think we would be able to sign him as will probly be to expensive, but June is coming off his first Pro Bowl season. He has had some legal trouble, and we know Nick will work with troubled guys. He isnt the most physically gifted guy, but he has speed, and thats what we need. He is a tackling machine and will compliment Zach and Crowder.

CB - Nate Clement - good size @ 6 ft, and a shutdown CB. He is going to want to get out of Buffalo. We need a good corner to go with Travis Daniels.

Draft
This is a very top heavy draft. We should be top 3.

1st round - Trade down with Tampa Bay (aquire appx pick 10 there 2nd round this yr, and there first in 2008)

Pick 10 -
Dwayne Jarret WR USC - Jarret is a large target, and a knack for getting in the endzone. This is exactly what we need in our passing game. He would br great addition to Chambers, Hagan, and Welker.
2nd round
Dolphins pick - Michael Griffin S Texas - Griffin is a playmaker, tackling machine, and is like a hawk to the ball. I've watched this guy several times, and he is going to be a top NFL Safety. Think Roy Williams, Ed Reed, Sean Taylor

Accuired TB pick - Marcus THomas or Justin Harrel - we need a DT as Traylor, Wilkinson, and Holliday are all on the wrong side of there careers.
Both these guys are the type Nick likes. Big strong fast, and atletic.

3rd round - Chris Leak or Tyler Palko - Both these guys are QB that will need some grooming in the NFL. If they can sit behind Daunte for a yr or two they will turn out to be good NFL QB's.

4th round - BPA

Starters next yr
QB - C-PEP
RB - Ronnie
FB - Darian Barnes
WR - Chambers, Dwayne Jarret, Derk Hagan
TE - McMike
LT - Gandy
LG - Jeno James
C - Hadnot
RG - Vernon Carey
RT - Max Starks

LE - Roth
DT - Marcus Thomas and Fred Evans
RE - JT
LOLB - Cato June
MLB - Zach
ROLB - Crowder
CB - Travis Daniels and Nate Clemnts
S - Jason Allen and Michael Griffin

This will do a couple things for us.
#1 Youth
#2 Speed
#3 we will have a future for years to come
#4 we acuire another first round pick for 2008 which will help us replace Zach

This is just my opinion, and everyone feel free to add there thaughts

Allen is a much better CB than Daniels. Leak stinks and DC will never be what he once was.

firemanx...
You do REALIZE there are a few other teams in the NFL and
they also have needs so the chance that we sign the top 4 free agents
that you mentioned is 0%...thats right the chance to sign those
4 players is at 0 %....maybe 1 but no way will we get all 4

First off, where do you think we will get all this money to sign Clements, Starks, Gandy, and June (you know their are 31 other teams who are allowed to participate in FA as well and most have more money to spend then us)
2nd I think Starks is an RFA and would cost a 1st rounder to sign
3rd Why would Tampa ever trade 2 first round picks and a 2nd to move up a couple of spots.
4th Cato June is waaay to undersized to play in Sabans D. For instance some of the better 3-4 teams their strong safeties (Polamalu, Harrison) are the same size as June. And their OLB's are all in the 6-4 250 range not 6-0 220 like June.

and finally...this is not madden, lets be realistic.

Whatever happened to NT?

.

I do not care!!! I am a fan that wants to win this season. Go Phins!!!!

i dont think your wishlist is very possible, but i do like the idea of the trading down and adding more picks. if we get a top 3 pick its gonna have great value with teams wanting to move up for brady quinn or calvin johnson. if we can trade down and add a first the following year would be great. we need to start finding ways too stockpile our future draft pick. with a team that has so many holes more first and second round draft picks are precious.

i think this year show that its time for a true rebuilding process and that start on the lines. we need to be draft oline and dline. we have already started the process of drafting dlineman(roth, vickerson, evans, wright). we need to keep adding top talent on the lines. we really need to draft for the oline hight this year, atleast 2 picks on the oline, and 1 on dline.

the lines our where the whole game begins. look at new england. they got talent all over their dline and oline(mostly draft picks). if u can dominate at the lines its much easier to fill in at the other positions. our dline is pretty good already but the oline needs serious help. its time to address this problem this year in the draft. the oline will do wonders for this team. open the running game, give the qb time, open the te to concentrate on receiving, open ronnie to the recieving game.

I don't think Zach will be with us in 2007. Our defense is not ideal for him - more likely will be traded. DC is a question mark - first recover and then see what he can do. Jeno James may be gone as well - there are younger guards on the team that can fill in.
