i am pumped about our d linemen. we have depth, talent, and size. beautiful.

but what about our linebackers? i am used to seeing guys like zach, junior, joey, etc back there lighting it up. now, we switch to a system that is much, much more dependent on the LB position and who do we have as our starters right now? crowder (who, if i based my dolphin knowledge solely on this forum, would be the incumbent anti christ), ayodele, anderson, and porter. moses will start over anderson IMO and torbor and ayodele will constantly switch out.

is everyone comfortable with our talent and depth at linebacker? and who is out there that is even a possibility?

Ayodele can be a starter, IMO. I think Torbor will be the one that rotates in since he's moving from a 4-3 to a 3-4 alignment. It takes a little longer to adapt to a totally different alignment and learn all of your responsibilities as an ILB. Anderson, from what I've read, has been re-learning how to pass rush, so he's moving back towards his strengths. Porter is someone we all know about in the 3-4 defense. Our starters could be very good depending on their development. A lot is going to ride on Crowder and how well he learns the new defensive system. I think Ayodele is going to be the one that helps him out in learning everything and making the right play calls on game day. The depth is what I'm skeptical about.

i have liked what i've read about anderson - especially since i had never heard of him before. torbor i see in during running plays and ayodele during passing plays. crowder needs to quash the hate and dominate some people next year. he won't need to dodge o linemen like last year and will be able to showcase his ability - which he has plenty of. moses needs to work on rush defense but will be a threat off the edge. porter needs to step it up plain and simple. being in his 3-4 comfort zone, i think he will do fine.

but i do think we need more than this group. would love to have a real dependable ILB out there.

I think Anderson will be a nice surprise.

The thing I like about the Anderson/Moses battle is that they seem to compliment each other well. Charlie comes from a 4-3 so he is used to playing in coverage a lot. He will have to work on his rushing skills but coverage is his strength so far. Quentin on the other hand is a going to be a real good pass rusher who is green when it comes to coverage experience. Anderson might be the better athlete here but Moses seems to have the more favorable skill as an OLB in the 3-4. Very interesting competion going on there but a nice combo to have. As for the inside Ayodele and Torbor would be my first choices but I am really hoping Crowder comes out of his shell.

i am also digging on the competition at ROLB. nice to know we aren't one dimensional. and i can't believe you bit your tongue (or fingers maybe?) about crowder.

I agree, honestly I had never heard of him before we picked him up but he is having a good camp. I like our linebackers, we are certainly bigger and stronger. I still cant believe we got Ayodele and Fasano for a fourth. Akin is a player.

I've spoke bad about his past long enough. We are in camp now so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and leave it up to the coaches of course. Time will tell. :)
