With Hodge and Spragan as our current OLB's where Junior was, I see us going after one of the few marquee names left out there at OLB....

IE: Sharper and Boulware. I think either would fit, especially Boulware since he is a pass rusher, basically an older, less freelancing version of Arrington.

What other options do we have available?

Boulware would probably be for a 1 year deal and we will get someone through FA or the draft. I think that Spragan and Hodge are just depth guys. Hodge has ties to Muller so that's why he was brought in, probably mostly to be a Special Teamer/Backup.

I think Seau comes back for another year... I believe he still wants to play, and he would prefer Miami or San Diego again over anyone else...

i would love to ge jamie sharper, willing to try boulware for 1 year, at worst hope to bring junior for 1 more year.

Actually, Crowder is the one who replaces Junior. Hodge & Spragan get to fight for the strong-side LB. JT gets to slide in and out on both outside spots. Might see David Bowens fill a similar role occasionally. Zach claims the middle. Pope is a special teams powerhouse and backup as is the elusive Eddie Moore.

Crowder is Zach's eventual replacement at MLB, which he played in college. I see our lineup as being:

LB's in a 3-4:

Strong side: (Insert FA here)

Bandit ILB: Crowder

MLB: Zach

Weakside: JT

I see it like last season w/ JT playing the OE position most of the time. Junior initially lined up at weakside LB (insert Crowder), Zach in the Middle, Spragan at the Sam position (insert Hodge).

Remember that the Phins defense is constantly bouncing between a 4-3 and 3-4 allignment w/ JT mostly at the line.

(On if he is looking to address the strongside linebacker spot) – “We signed Sedrick Hodge and that’s really what he plays. We have Donnie (Spragan) back, who started a significant amount of the time last year. At some place had we had the opportunity to pick a guy, it would have been something that we would have considered, and it’s something that we’ll continue to work to try to gain additional depth.†Coach Saban

Of course, adding a backup guy as a undrafted free agent would be nice.
