Ok, I only will preview us and the teams that are ahead of us, because realistically we need to win out to make the playoffs, and the bills are on our schedule, and the steelers don't have a good shot.

Kansas City (6-4) Although this team has the best record of the bunch, they don't have a great shot of making the playoffs considering their future opponents. Considering the fact that we beat the chiefs, which means that we are only 2 games out of the lead is good, because we would make it based on head to head. Their remaining games are Jacksonville, Oakland, Baltimore, San Diego, Cleveland, and Denver. I see them losing at least two probably 3 or 4, and I am not really afraid of them.

Cincinatti (5-5) They are one game ahead of us, and they are going to probably have a meltdown sooner or later. The remaining games are Indy, Oakland, Baltimore, Cleveland, Denver, and Pittsburgh. I see them losing two to four of those games at least. They don't quite have the defense to go anywhere, and they have many off-field issues to deal with.

Jacksonville (5-4) Tonight's game against the giants is very important for us, however they do have a semi-tough schedule, plus we play them after the lions game. If we can take care of business at home, they should lose two games and we would have the tie-breaker. Their remaining schedule is Giants, Us, Buffalo, Indianapolis, Tennessee, New England, and KC. I see them losing three of these games probably four. Garrard is still young, sometimes he shows up sometimes he doesn't. They have a good defense, but some weeks they never wake up.

New York Jets (5-5) This is the team I worry most about. If we beat them, we will still not have the tie-breaker because they beat us. The Jets have the easiest schedule by far of the rest of the playoff contenders, and it was not a good thing that they beat the patriots. They will have a better division record than us if they win out and lose to us. They play Houston, Green Bay, Us, Buffalo, Minnesota, and Oakland. That isn't exactly the hardest schedule. You never know who is going to win, but they scare me.

Miami (4-6) Finally, the defense is playing incredibly to make up for the lack of production on the offensive side of the ball. We need to win every game from here on out in order to make the playoffs, unless the other contenders go on some sort of landslide. Our remaining opponents are Detroit, Jacksonville, Jets, Buffalo, New England, and Indianapolis. They are all winable games, but there are a couple that stand out as tests we need to win. We need to beat the Jets because they are in the hunt, and have an easy schedule. Buffalo on the road has always been difficult for us, and Jacksonville is going to be tough as well.

I'm only posting this because I know we can do it. This is the kind of team that can go on a run. We have all the momentum on a shocking upset over the bears, and our defense just fires itself up. Last year we went on a six game winning streak to end the season, and it could happen again. It's funny how three weeks ago we were dead in the water, and now we are only two games out of being a playoff team. Our veterans know that we just need to concentrate on one thing....winning. I am a believer in defense over offense, and if JT can play like he has we can make a run for the playoffs. Once you get in the playoffs, who knows? We can beat anybody, and we've proved it the last two weeks. The team can take it one game at a time, we can look to the future.

Root for the Giants tonight!!!
Go Dolphins baby!!!:dolphins:

Lets hope that those teams can find ways to lose while Miami keeps on winning.

The one thing I know u left out is a Pitt team that beat us, that should worry alot of people also. U never know with them, they were like this last year a bit and just turned it on late.

Pitt is not playing nearly as good as we are and I do expect them to lose again because they face Baltimore and they are playing very well right now.

I agree, the JETS are definitely are a team for us to worry about... But they do have the VIKINGS, and if you have watched any of the JETS games, they win when they control the clock by running the ball... I think that Pennington loses thing game for them...

The other game they lose will be to us... So now they are 9-7 and out of the playoffs... And this is their best case scenario...:dolphins:

season

OUr season to me is too focus on beating the lions to go 5-6. let the chips fall where they do but first we need a victory to get 1 game away from .500. Then it will be to get to .500 and beat the Jags at home w/ Garrard at QB this is very possible but a tough game to play against the Jags defense though.

To bad we played so horribly to start the season against a weak schedule...... we wasted a great opportuninty with the favorable schedule we had this year......Lets hope we give a good run the rest of the way....

call me a homer but i still believe we will be the first team to win a sb in our home stadium

Nice post and I was pretty confident that we have a chance at this because of who the teams ahead of us are playing but I didnt realize the Jets had that easy a schedule. I ovverlooked the Jets, well beacause they're the Jets. We really need some team to step up and beat them. Go Texans!

There are 6 spots open in the AFC Playoff picture right?

1 from each division
and 2 wild cards right?

so:

NE wins East
BAL wins North
INDY wins South
S.D. wins West.

that leaves:
Denver (7-3)
KC (6-4)?
JAX (5-4)?
CINN (5-5)?
JETS (5-5)?

Miami is now 4-6.

figure Denver will get the wild card. there playing pretty good football right now.

so we need KC, JAX, JETS, CINN to lose every game and we need to basically win outright our last 6 games like last year.

We play:
DET (ths game means nothing besides another W)
JAX (this will help, but we always suck against JAX)
NE (TUFF GAME RIGHT HERE)
BUF (J.P. Lossman is a stud right now)
JETS (need this one)
INDY (might determine the season)
